Weaver Wins 40th House District

Terri Lynn Weaver will return to Nashville to continue representing the 40th house district.

Weaver received 78 percent of the vote with 21 percent for Independent candidate Paddy Sizemore. Weaver said she thanks her supporters for another opportunity to serve.

“I will tell you there is one word that defines it. That is humbling and grateful and thankful that the confidence remains,” Weaver said. “Their trust remains in me being their voice in Nashville in the state of Tennessee.”

Weaver will serve Smith, Trousdale and part of DeKalb and Sumner Counties for the 12th year. Weaver said she is ready to pick up where she left off in the General Assembly.

“I have been so fortunate to work with the people of the 40th district,” Weaver said. “I have left a record, and I have left my footprint on how I stand and how I vote and how I listen to the folks of my district.”
