Funeral Services For Eula Ray McCloud, Age 84, Of Monterey, Will Be Conducted On Thursday, October 18, 2018, At 11:00 AM From The Chapel Of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Tony Phipps Will Officiate With Interment To Follow In The Sand Springs Memorial Gardens. Mrs. McCloud Was Born On February 9, 1934, In Monterey, To The Late Ella And Burl Jernigan. Mrs. McCloud Passed Away On Monday, October 15, 2018, At Signature Healthcare Of Putnam County In Algood. Mrs. McCloud Was A Homemaker. She Was A Member Of Sand Springs Baptist Church. She Is Survived By, 5 Daughters And 4 Sons-In-Law; Gail And Mouse Williams Of Monterey, Nell And Tommy Clark Of Monterey, Debbie And Rick Norrod Of Monterey, Brenda Melton Of Monterey, Tammy And Reggie Moody Of Cookeville; 10 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; 4 Great Great Grandchildren; Special Friend, Cheryl Copeland Of Monterey. In Addition To Her Parents, She Was Preceded In Death By Her Husband, Dewayne McCloud; 2 Sisters, Fannie Mae Hicks And Burlene Mahaney; Brother, Paul Jernigan; Son-In-Law, Ricky Melton. The Family Will Receive Friends At Goff Funeral Home On Wednesday, October 17, 2018, From 5:00 PM Until 8:00 PM.

Funeral services for Donnie Gene Maxwell, 66 of Baxter, will be Thursday, October 18 at 1 PM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Donnie died Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He was born February 15, 1952 in Putnam County to the late Nealy William and Georgia Coffelt Maxwell. He was a 1970 graduate of Upperman High School in Baxter. He served six years in the Army National Guard. He was a truck mechanic for Russell Stover Candies in Cookeville. He owned and operated Maxwell Mobil and Texaco in Baxter for 19 years and has been a dairy farmer for the past 17 years. He was a hard worker. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of 47 years (Married March 13, 1971) Carolyn Shores Maxwell of Baxter, son Donnie Ray Maxwell and his fiancée Sarah Friesel and her children: Deborah and Bernie Friesel, sister Barbara (Joe) Jared of Cookeville, brother David (Linda) Maxwell of Gainesboro, granddaughter Britney RaeAnn Maxwell. Bro. Carl Halfacre will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM and after 10 AM Thursday at the funeral home.

Service for Mary Ruth Nash, age 93 of Doyle, will begin at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Thurman Funeral Home. Internment at Hurd Cemetery. Mary passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at daughter’s home in Doyle. Mary was born on January 13, 1925 in Rome, Georgia to Marvin Edgar Williams and Mary Eunice Gilbert Williams. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Leon Nash, Harvel Rogers and Tony Pappalardo and grandson Todd Stone. Mary is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Olivia and Louis (Rip) Stone; brother, Marvin Williams; Grandsons, Jeffery Stone and Kim, Mark Stone and Sherry; Granddaughter; April Price and Glen; Great grandchildren, Jared Stone, CJ Stone, Kailey Stone, Derek Stone, Emma Sullivian, Blake Lowery, Seth Lowery and Rachael Lowery; Great great grandchildren, Brianna, Lain, Cora Adline, Ashton, Kylie, Jeremiah, and Aaliyah. Family will accept visitors on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Thurman Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M.

Graveside services and interment of Louise Sliger Bockman, age 100 of Cookeville, will be Friday, October 19 at 11am in the Stewart Cemetery in Cookeville. Rev. Ernest Robertson will officiate. Mrs. Bockman quietly slipped from her earthly home into the arms of Jesus on March 27, 2018. Louise was born into life on October 26, 1917 in Cookeville, Tennessee. Her parents were Clyde and Rose Sliger and she was the fourth of nine children who grew up on the family farm. She attended Oak Grove Schools and was raised as a Christian in the Baptist Church near her home. In 1935, she married her school mate and the love of her life, Carl Bockman. After the birth of their first son, Ray, in 1937, the family moved to Los Angeles, California where Carl had been promised a job. Their second son, David, was born in Los Angeles in 1941, however, at the outbreak of the Second World War, Carl was drafted and the family moved back to Tennessee to be close to family. Carl was turned away from the Army and the family remained in Tennessee. Carl and Louise moved their family to Bakersfield, CA in 1956 when Carl was offered a job as a security officer. He later purchased and successfully managed the Alert Merchant Patrol for many years until his death at 58 in 1974.

Funeral services for Mr. Harvey Spurgeon (Spud) Bouton, age 96, of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday October 20 at Dyer Funeral Home. Jerome Frandle, Loren Spellman, and Bobby Sylvia will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow at Double Springs Cemetery. Mr. Bouton passed away Tuesday October 16, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 – 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
