Funeral Serveces for Wilma Jean Buck, age 79, of Gainesboro will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at 11 A.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She enjoyed spending time with her family, doing puzzles, listening to Elvis, reading books, and making sure everyone that came to her house had snacks and candy to sample. She never missed a family member’s birthday by calling, doing a card or money or attending the party. She always treated her nieces and nephews and their kids as her own. She is survived by a sister: Martha Buck; a sister-in-law: Marie Buck; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including great-great nephews: Tyler and Cameron Buck; great-great niece: Lorelei Crabtree; and great-great nephew to be: Bennett Dixon.

Graveside services for James Arvil Derossitt, age 77 of Cookeville will be held Thursday, July 16, 2020 beginning at 3:00 pm at Brown’s Mill Cemetery in Cookeville. Interment will follow. He passed from this life Monday, July 13, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. James was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend to everyone that knew him. He was a U.S. Veteran, owned and operated Broadway Upholstery Shop since 1968. He loved music, and was a founding member of the Tennessee Outlaw Band which played at the Veterans Building in Cookeville every Friday night for over 35 years.

Memorial services for Clarence Eugene Landis, age 82 of Cookeville, will be held at 1 p.m Friday, July 17, 2020 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home.The family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. until time of services. Due to Covid-19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed. Clarence passed away Saturday July 11, 2020 at Signature HealthCare of Putnam County. He was born April 11, 1938 in Clayton, OH to the late Ray and Marie Srode Landis. Clarence was a member of Summerfield United Methodist Church, and the Cookeville Coin Club. He retired from Mallory Controls in Sparta, TN after over 30 years of service. He enjoyed coin collecting, attending car shows, tending to his flower gardens, and fellowshipping with family and lifelong friends, Gene Reichard, Carole Landis and Alvin Kallas. He is survived by three daughters, Raejean Landis, Lisa Ann Landis, and Nancy Diana Landis, all of Cookeville; son, Robert Michael Landis and wife Carrie of Knoxville; two grandchildren, Cole Allen Jarman of Cookeville and Logan Lee Olive Landis of Knoxville. Memorial services for Joyce Ann Ortlepp, 74, of Baxter, will be Friday, July 17 at 1 PM at New Beginning Assembly of God 2193 West Broad Street, Cookeville.The family will receive friends at the church after 11 AM Friday until service time. Interment will be in West Cemetery in the Burgess Falls Community at a later date. Mrs. Ortlepp died Sunday, July 12, 2020 at her home in Baxter from injuries in a fire. Due to COVID-19 precautions social distancing will be observed. Funeral services for Cordell C. Elrod, age 75 of Cookeville, will be held Friday, July 17, 2020 beginning at 3:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Adams officiating. Full honors will be provided by the Cookeville City Police Department. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Cordell passed from this life Monday, July 13, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He was a U.S. Veteran serving in the U.S. Army and retired from the Tennessee Army National Guard as Staff Sergeant; he was a member of the Cookeville Police Department for 32 years, retiring in 2007 at the Rank of Captain.

Funeral Services for Ryleigh-Ann Faye Kimball, 7 years old of Cookeville will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 18, 2020 in the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. She passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville surrounded by her family. She was energetic and sassy, loving to wear her bright colored socks while adorning her lip gloss and fingernail polish. She enjoyed every moment, whether playing in the dirt, fishing with her dad, or dancing around and singing with her mom. She may have only lived 7 short years, but she lived life fully and loved whole heartedly.Ryleigh loved life and people. As an organ donor, she gave the ultimate gift of life to so many others. Ryleigh was the daughter of Rebecca Trobaugh and the late Eric Kimball. The family visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, July 18, 2020, in the chapel at Crest Lawn. The family will receive friends and visitors 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

Memorial Services for Carol Juanita Thompson, age 69, of Cookeville, will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Church of God of Prophecy, 1580 S. Jefferson Ave. Cookeville with Sister Velma Robe officiating. Mrs. Thompson had chosen cremation and requested just for a memorial service. Carol Juanita Thompson was born on August 21, 1950 in Cookeville, Tennessee to the late L.D. and Lucille (Rittenberry) Lindsey. She was a self-employed housecleaner. She is survived by Husband Jerry Thompson; Son Mark Borders; Daughter & Son-In-Law: Sherrie (Stephen) Denton.
