Obituaries For Wednesday, February 24

Marilyn Sue Bumbalough Klein, 78 of Sparta, passed away Wednesday, February 24 at her home. Arrangements are incomplete.

Jerry Wayne Carter, 66 of Cookeville and formerly of Mayland, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, February 23 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Jerry chose cremation, the family followed his wishes, and no services are planned at this time.

Celebration of Life service for Basil Wayne Putman, 73 of Cookeville will be 1 PM Thursday February 25 at Trinity Assembly in Algood. Interment will be in Smellage Cemetery in the Boma Community with military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard. Bro. Dwight Henry will officiate. Mr. Putman died Sunday, February 21 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a graduate of Hixson High School. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Tennessee Tech University. Wayne was a six year member of the National Guard. He retired from Wireless Solutions of Cookeville and had previously worked at U.S. Cellular and was a member of Trinity Assembly. Wayne enjoyed collecting turtle figurines and selling on EBAY. He was a people person, enjoying spending time with family and friends, especially the grandkids. Survivors include wife of 46 years (Married February 14, 1975) Shirley Bruce Putman of Cookeville; daughters, Kristin (Jason) Grear of Ooltewah, and Lacey (Paul) Roberts of Cookeville. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until service time at the church.

Graveside services for Bobbie Ruth Wilson, 96 of Crossville, will be Thursday, February 25 at 2:00 P.M. at Old Bon Air Cemetery. Mrs. Wilson passed away Tuesday, February 23 At Life Care of Crossville. She was born November 11, 1924 in White County to the late Robert E. Yott and Bessie Brown Yott. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Patty Jo Apple Barlow was, age 80 of Lebanon and formerly of Jackson County, will begin at 2 pm Friday, February 26 in the Chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jackie Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Barlow passed away at her residence in Lebanon on Sunday, February 21. She was the daughter of Homer and Daris Ragland Apple. Mrs. Barlow was retired from Summit Medical Center working in the medical records department. she was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lebanon. Survivors include her son, Tim (Teresa) Barlow of Mt. Juliet; and daughter, Lucinda Barlow of Lebanon. Visitation will be on Friday, February 26 beginning at 11 am until 2 pm.

Funeral services for Mr. Dishmon Hamblin, age 86 of Sparta, will be conducted 11:00am Saturday, February 27 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. Roy Powell and James Hamblin will officiate.  Mr. Hamblin passed away at 8:30pm Tuesday, February 23 at Life Care Center of Sparta. He was retired from Jeld-Wen Hardwoods. Dishmon played the harmonica since he was a young man and was glad to play a song for anyone that he met. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Sparta. Survivors include his children, Darrell (Trina) Hamblin, Denise (Wayne) Bogle, and Tonya (Wade) YoungBlood. The family will receive friends after 10:00am Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home.

Celebration Of Life Services For Royce Harville, Age 72 Of Algood, Will Be Conducted On Saturday, February 27 At 4:00 PM At The House Of Prayer Revival Center, 266 East Wilmoth Road, Rickman. Pastor Mike Owens And Pastor Justin Owens Will Officiate. Mr. Harville Passed Away On Friday, February 19 At Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He Was A Longtime Employee Of FFM/Perdue. He Was A Member Of House Of Prayer Revival Center In Rickman. He Is Survived By His Wife Of 52 Years, Patricia Blaylock Harville Of Algood; Son And Daughter-In-Law, Keith And Susan Harville Of Cookeville. In Lieu Of Flowers, Donations May Be Given To St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or stjude.org/memorial.

Memorial Services for Richard Dean Golden, age 64, of Bloomington Springs, will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. James Dukes officiating. He assed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 in Cookeville, TN. Richard was born on May 20, 1956 in Cookeville, TN to the late Freddie and Minnie Golden. Richard loved to play music, write songs, and to perform his songs. Surviving Family include: Son, Jonathan Golden of Sparta; sister Sabra Bussell of Smithville; Brother Dewayne Marcus of Cookeville. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until time of the service at the funeral home.
