Clarence “CB” Brewsaugh, 75 of Bloomington Springs, passed on Tuesday, April 20. CB served in the Air Force and loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren every chance he got. He loved his dog Baby Girl. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Linnie Mae King, age 68 of Sparta, passed away Monday April 19 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. Linnie was born July 14, 1952 in Rumford, ME to the late Allen and Marietta Smith Maxwell. She worked as a CNA at various nursing homes in Maine and later retired from Signature Health Care in Algood after 23 years of service. Linnie enjoyed retirement, spending time with family and caring for her pets. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Eddie King Jr.; daughter, Stephanie King of Auburn, ME; son, Sean King of Sparta.
Fred Junior Litchford, 74 of Cookeville, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Fred was born Sunday, November 10, 1946, in Cookeville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Thomas Clarence Litchford and the late Bessie Lee (Montgomery) Litchford. Fred was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Fred was a supervisor for the Cookeville City Street Department for 10 years. Previously, he built furniture and enjoyed woodworking, working in the garden, and anything outdoors. Fred was loved by all that knew him and he will be greatly missed. Fred is survived by, Wife of 41 years, Elaine (St. Clair) Litchford; 2 Children, Michael and Jennifer Litchford. Fred chose cremation, the family followed his wishes, and a celebration of his life will be held privately at a later date.

Steve Thornton officiating. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. She passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021, at Signature Health Care of Putnam County in Cookeville. Born Saturday, January 9, 1932 in Cookeville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Henry Huddleston and the late Lorrana Taylor Huddleston. Bettie was a loving and caring Mom. She always had the back of her children. Bettie was a Godly woman. She was honest and hard working. She had a loving heart and never met a stranger. She was a hostess at the Holiday Inn for years and also cleaned the homes of families in Michigan who she befriended everyone of them. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, and again at 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, April 22, 20201 at Presley Funeral Home.

Officiating will be Bro. Timothy Wilson and Bro. Rick Lacy. Ms. Norrod passed from this life on Tuesday afternoon, April 20 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Ms. Carol Janice Norrod was born in Rickman, Overton Co., TN on Thursday, July 2, 1942 to the late F.B. and Hallie (Thompson) Norrod. She loved her family and friends very much and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 22 at the funeral home from 12 PM until 2 PM.
Funeral services for Ms. Rebecca Carolyn “Nana” Sells, age 71 of Livingston, will be conducted from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston at 2 PM on Thursday, April 22nd. Rev. James Shenko and Rev. Sunny Ridings will be the officiants. Known to most of us as Nana, Carolyn Sells was born on May 11, 1949, in Livingston, TN, to Bill and Mamie (Templeton) Ringley. Nana was a supportive mom, hard worker, and a cheerleader to all. She loved fiercely and thought highly of everyone who crossed her path. Nana’s heart was as big as her hugs. For over 70 years, she lived loudly and fully. Her smile filled our hearts and her desserts filled our souls. There is no one else we would rather have watching over us and cheering us on. Nana gave us her all in everything we pursued. She’s cleaned homes, raised babies, and cheered on every sport’s team. She was everyone’s Nana, not just ours. Carolyn raised five daughters and one grandson. She is survived by her daughters Billie Holman of Livingston, Cynthia and husband David Sells of Livingston, Belinda and husband Steve Rector of Eagle River, AK, Melissa Cook of Zeeland, MI, and Marla Sells of Livingston. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday from 5 until 9 PM and Thursday from 12 noon until 2pm at Speck Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Mr. Willie Campbell Huddleston, age 86 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday April 22 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Steve Thornton and Bruce Nesmith will officiate. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Huddleston died Sunday April 18, 2021 at his residence following a brief illness. Willie worked as the Putnam County Road Department for 25 years. He enjoyed working on his farm, bush hogging, tending to cattle, spending time in his barn and wheeling and dealing for farm equipment. He is remembered for the smile he always wore and for bring a sweet and pleasant person. He was a member of Caney Fork Baptist Church. Willie is survived by his wife of 12 years, Nancy Madewell Sullivan Huddleston; sons, Steve (Renee) Huddleston and Donnie (Shann) Huddleston; and daughter, Judy (Jim) Nesmith. Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Cornell Beam, age 85 of Cookeville, will be 11 a.m. Friday April 23 at Dodson Branch Freewill Baptist Church. Bro. Ronnie Dunn and Bro. Clayton Lee will officiate. Interment will follow at Cookeville City Cemetery. Mrs.Beam passed away Tuesday evening April 20 at her home. Cornell was a homemaker. She enjoyed working outside with her flowers and watching the wildlife that frequently visited their yard. Mostly, she loved her family and was proud of them all. She loved her Dodson Branch Church family which many of them were relatives. She was a member there for 71 years. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Luther Beam, whom she married on June 29,1963; daughters Lee Ann (Philip) Hall, and Lynette (Lorne) Miller. Cornell’s family expresses their appreciation to the Upper Cumberland Hospice, especially Kirby, Effie, and Lora. A celebration of life for Barbara Ann Fisher Nabors, age 80 of Cookeville, will be held Friday, 11:00 am at Crest Lawn Funeral Home in Cookeville, 800 Jackson Street. She reached her heavenly home on Monday, April 19. Surrounded by her loving family, “Barb” passed peacefully from her earthly home in Cookeville into the arms of Jesus following a 30-year battle with multiple sclerosis. She was 80 years old. Born to Beatrice and Harvey Fisher on September 4th, 1940, Barb became a gift to the world. Herbeautiful smile and infectious laughter and love of the Lord drew people to her, including her devoted husband of 59 years, Charles Nabors, who swept her off her feet and married her on December 23, 1961. Their life together was the ultimate love story. Together, they had two childrenand three wonderful grandchildren, who adored their Mimi. Anyone who knew Barbara would say there was literally nothing she could not do. Barb was a continuous learner with a diverse skillset. An avid tennis player, aerobics teacher, water sports enthusiast, gifted artist, musician, seamstress, antique collector and successful real estate agent, her active lifestyle was cut short by her incurable illness at the age of 50, but through it all, she rarely complained or lost her joy for life. She had every reason to be angry and bitter, but instead of giving up, the weakershe became, the stronger her resolve grew to love much, live well and laugh often. She has been an amazing source of strength and inspiration to all who knew her. The family will host a visitation at Crest Lawn on Thursday, April 22 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Friday from 10:00-11:00. Funeral services for Mr. Cormel K. Morrow, age 98 of Livingston, will be conducted 1 PM Friday, April 23rd, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston. Bro. Damon Corley will officiate. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery with military honors provided at graveside by the Overton County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Morrow passed from this life on Tuesday evening, April 20 from Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born in Overton County on October 27, 1922, to the late William and Maggie Sevier Morrow. Cormel loved his family and enjoyed woodworking. He was a faithful member of Allons Baptist Church, where he was as a deacon for 48 years. Mr. Morrow served in the VFW Honor Guard where he helped with over 800 funerals. Mr. Morrow leaves behind his daughters, Elease Barton and husband Bernie of Rickman, Brenda Bilbrey and husband Joe of Hilham, Linda Chapman of Cookeville, Janie Mabrey and husband Ray of Livingston, Edie Mabe and husband Wayne of Livingston, Vickie Randles and husband Phillip of Livingston; and one son, Terry Morrow and wife Ann of Livingston. A memorial service for Emily Brown Cass, 76 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, April 24 at 11:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Cass died Tuesday, April 13 at Standing Stone Care and Rehab Center in Monterey. She was a graduate of St. Thomas School of Nursing. She was a retired registered nurse serving at Cookeville General (now Cookeville Regional Medical Center), White County Hospital, Smith County Hospital and Cumberland Medical Center. She was a member of Cookeville First United Methodist Church. Emily was an avid reader. She was a excellent seamstress and enjoyed cross stitch and working in her flowers. She was a great wife and mom. Survivors include husband of 51 years, (Married December 6, 1969) Douglas Cass of Cookeville; daughters Carrie Trisdale of Sparta, Emily Gentry of Buffalo Valley and Robin Owens of Chilhowie, VA. The family will receive friends 10 am until service time at the church. A lunch for those attending the service will follow at 12 noon in the church fellowship hall.
Funeral services for Kaitlyn Leanne Meadows Jones, 31 of the Flynns Lick community of Jackson County, will be held on Saturday, April 24 at 1 P.M. at the Jackson County High School in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community. Mrs. Jones passed away on Tuesday, April 20 in Jackson County. She was born September 23, 1989 in Cookeville to Jackie Meadows and Pam Meadows. On June 27, 2015, she was married to Adam Ryan Jones, who survives. She was a school teacher, and the assistant coach of the Jackson County Bowling Team. Survivors include her Husband, Adam Ryan Jones of Gainesboro; daughter, Sutton Annalee Jones of Gainesboro; and Parents, Jackie and Pam Meadows of Gainesboro. Miss Nash passed away Sunday, March 15. She was a member of Cookeville First Baptist Church and served as a Missionary in Africa. Donna taught at Jack and Jill Nursery School for 25 years, she had a great love for children. Donna achieved an Associates Degree in Business and also worked as a professional clown named Doodles. Donna was a member of the Jr. Women’s Club, formerly performed with Cookeville Mastersingers and formerly active with the Drama Community in Cookeville. She is survived by two sisters, Barbara Nash Viamonte (Jorge), and Beverly Nash (Harold), all of Cookeville.

Daniel was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a gifted mechanic and could work on anything with a motor. Daniel was extremely giving and would give the shirt off of his back to help others. He was loved by all that knew him and he will be greatly missed. Daniel is survived by his Wife, Shelley Williams; and seven Children, Cody, Corby, Craig, Nick, Caleb, Joseph, and Zac. Funeral services for Ms. Ruby Louise Bryant Roberts, age 76 of Sparta, will be conducted 2:00pm Sunday, April 25, from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Laurel Creek Cemetery Baptist Church Cemetery in the Bone Cave Community. Ms. Roberts passed away on Monday, April 19 at St. Thomas Highlands Hospital. A day after her 76th birthday. She was a retired secretary of Findlay Elementary School, as well as a long-time Wal-Mart employee. Ruby took great pride in her yard and working with her flowers. She enjoyed taking neighborhood walks and push mowing her yard, but her proudest time was spent with her family. Ruby was a member of Sparta First Baptist Church. Surviving family members include her two daughters, Sherri Roberts Vanatta of Hendersonville, Lisa Johnson-Newby and husband Ken of Sparta. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4-8:00pm and Sunday after 11:00am at Hunter Funeral Home.
