Funeral Services For Gladys Ina Bilbrey, Age 80, Of Monterey, Tennessee, Will Be Conducted On Wednesday, September 16, 2020, At 11:00 AM From The Chapel Of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie McCowan And Rev. Eugene McCowan Will Officiate With Interment To Follow In The Phillips Cemetery In The Anderson Community. Mrs. Bilbrey Was Born On August 30, 1940, In Overton County, Tennessee, To The Late Markless Gentle And Sarah Clarcy Foster Vaughn. Mrs. Bilbrey Passed Away On Sunday, September 13, 2020, At The Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Bilbrey Was A Garment Factory Worker. She Was A Member Of Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church. She Is Survived By, 1 Daughter And Son-In-Law, Peggy And Ronnie McCowan Of Monterey, TN; 3 Sons And 2 Daughters-In-Law, Dwayne And Patricia Bilbrey Of Monterey, TN, Donnie Bilbrey Of The Love Joy Community, Randy And Gena Bilbrey Of Cookeville, TN; 12 Grandchildren; And 22 Great Grandchildren. In Addition To Her Parents, She Was Preceded In Death By Her Husband, J.B. Bilbrey; Daughter-In-Law, Deborah Bilbrey; 6 Sisters, Sally Mae Vaughn, Julie Ann Vaughn, Dorothy Ellen Vaughn, Earlene Phillips, Tennie Murphy And Clara Bowman; 5 Brothers, Claude, Ralph, Miller, J.D., And James Vaughn. The Family Will Receive Friends At Goff Funeral Home On Tuesday, September 15, 2020, From 5:00 PM Until 7:00 PM.

Graveside services with military honors for Lemon Fred Farris, age 95 of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m Wednesday September 16 at the Cunningham Cemetery in White County. Fred passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday evening September 13, 2020. Fred attended Salem School, farmed, and broke mules. He later joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served at Pearl Harbor during World War II. He was a faithful member of Church of Christ. He served as an elder and song leader at the Antioch Church of Christ and later Willow Avenue Church of Christ. He was very active with the Happy Haven Home for Children. He is survived by two sons, Royce Wayne Farris (wife, Carol) of Sparta, Floyd Dennis Farris of Cookeville. His family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Funeral services for Mr. Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Copeland, age 66 of Crossville, a native of Sparta, will be conducted 1:00pm Wednesday, September 16, 2020 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Copeland’s Chapel Cemetery. Ronald passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. Ronnie was born February 23, 2954 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Lonnie Lee & Sarah Wenonah Greene Copeland. He was a good friend to many. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Wednesday at Hunter Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mr. James Leon Dale, age 84 of Rickman, will be conducted 2 pm Wednesday, September 16th, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery. James passed from this life on Saturday night, September 5, 2020, from Cookeville Regional Medical Center. James leaves behind his daughter Donna Faye Goodman of Rickman and his adopted daughter, Chyanne Dale of Rickman. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday from 12 noon until time of services at 2 pm.

Graveside services for Howard Smith Jr. 74 of Algood, will be at held Wednesday, September 16, 2020 beginning at 2:00 pm Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Smith passed away Saturday, September 12 at his home. Howard opened his Dental Office in the early 80’s in Algood, Tennessee. He is survived by his wife of 17 years Jo Smith of Algood; and one son, Bradley Stweart.

Graveside services for Juanita Brown, 72, of the Center Grove community of Jackson County, will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, September 17, 2020, at the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. She passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born August 7, 1948, in Jackson County, to the late Clifford Stafford and Lucy Stafford. She was a shirt factory worker, and a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughter, Malinda Brown of Cookeville. There will be no visitation or services at the funeral home.

Celebration of Life for Glenn Curtis Whittenburg, age 49 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, September 17, 2020, at 3:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Frank Rodgers officiating. He passed on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at his sister’s home. Glenn was born Tuesday, January 19, 1971, in Cookeville, Tennessee, and he was the son of the late Glenn Curtis, Sr and the late Patricia Ann (Smith) Whittenburg. Glenn was a loving brother, uncle, and friend. Glenn is survived by, 2 Daughters, Anjalee Whittenburg, and Breanna Whittenburg. Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, September 17, 2020, from 11:00, am until time of service at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

A celebration of life for Mr. William Marvin “Bill” Johnson, age 84 of Sparta, will be held on Friday, September 18th, at 2 p.m. at Duck Pond Manor with visitation and light refreshments to follow. A longtime banker, farmer and community leader, he passed away 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at his residence. Bill lived by the motto “It is more blessed to give than receive,” and give he did. He was a tireless worker for his beloved UT, serving on the Athletics Board from 1972-1974 before being elected to the Board of Trustees in 1975; he served as vice-chairman of the Board from 1987-1991, retiring from this prestigious body in 1996. He is survived by his wife, the former Rena Jones, who he met at UT; his three daughters and their husbands; and eleven grandchildren. There will be a visitation from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, September 17th, at Bilbrey Farms in Sparta.

Graveside services for Clarence Thomas Gentry, Jr., 75 of the Calfkiller Community in Putnam County, will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 beginning at 11:00 am at Bohannon Cemetery in the Calfkiller Community with Bro. Bobby Floyd officiating. Mr. Gentry passed from this life Sunday, September 13, 2020, at his home. He was born Wednesday, February 7, 1945 in Cookeville. He was the son of the late Clarence Thomas Gentry and the late Ruby (Hunter) Gentry. Clarence was a loving husband, brother, and friend to all who knew him. He enjoyed being outdoors and all outdoor activities. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 51 years, family, friends and fur babies. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Mary (Holloway) Gentry. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Phines Holloway for all his help in taking care of Clarence. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriners Organization, St. Judes Children’s Hospital or Putnam County Animal Shelter.

Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Edith Marie Loftis, age 75 of Cookeville, will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 1 PM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston, the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, September 18th starting at 5 PM until 9 PM. The family has chosen cremation after the service. Officiating with the service will be Bro. Nolan Cantrell. Mrs. Edith Marie Loftis was born in Livingston, Overton Co. on Saturday, December 16, 1944 to the late Hardy and Ethel Lee (Hammock) Cantrell. Edith loved her children and grandchildren very much. Edith will be greatly missed by them all.

Memorial services for Kimberley Marie (Flatt)Murphy, 56 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 beginning at 1:00 pm at West View Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Simpson officiating. Mrs. Murphy was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, In her final hours Kim was surrounded by her family. Kim was a loving wife, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She touched so many lives and made a huge difference for so many people. Kim retired from the Board of Education where she had a huge heart for all children, especially her special needs children. She was an active member of West View Baptist Church where she worked tirelessly in the clothing closet and food pantry to serve our community. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Kim is survived by her husband of 22 years Tim Murphy of Cookeville; two stepdaughters and one stepson. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 am until time of service at 1 :00 pm.
