Funeral Arrangements Are Incomplete For Harson Buckner, Age 89, Of Monterey. Mr. Buckner Passed Away On Tuesday, March 17, 2020, At Carrick Glenn Senior Living In Mt. Juliet.

Jodi Lynne Benson, 51, of Baxter, passed away on March 16, 2020, at her residence. She was born December 11, 1968, in Towanda, PA, to Robert Westbrook and the late Judith Delores Jackson Westbrook. She worked in retail customer service. Survivors include 1 Son: Cody Benson; 1 Daughter: Desirae Mae Benson Peterson; her Father: Robert Westbrook; 2 Brothers: David Wayne Westbrook and J. Timothy Westbrook; and 4 Grandchildren: Aydan Michael Peterson, Shyla Rae Benson, Jordyn Ryle Benson, and Keegan Renee Benson. The family has chosen cremation, with no services at this time.

Mr. Gerald Lee Ferrill, age 81, of Livingston, passed from this life on Monday evening, March 16, 2020 from the Livingston Regional Medical Center. He was born in Overton County on May 5, 1938 to the late Aaron & Bessie Lee Carr Ferrill. A 1957 graduate of Livingston Academy, and Baptist in Faith. Gerald leaves behind his son, Troy Ferrill & wife Tonya of Battle Creek, MI; daughter, Virginia Gillespie & husband Rick of Battle Creek, MI; grandchildren, Amber Lee Gillespie, Kiley EgelKraut, Cierra Ferrill, and Savanna Ferrill; great-grandchild, Haylee Gillispie; brothers, Carl Ferrill & wife Jean of Livingston, and Aaron Ferrill, Jr. & wife Patricia of Cookeville; sisters, Sue Choate of Smyrna, and Jane Ruzansky & husband Marty of Philadelphia, PA. In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his brother, Rex Ferrill. Funeral Services are incomplete.

Private graveside services for Mrs. Shirley Jean York, age, 73 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday March 18 at Algood City Cemetery. She was born January 14, 1947 in Cookeville to the late Gilbert and Audrey Tallent Benson. Shirley was a teacher for more than 33 years. She retired from Algood Middle School in 2014. She loved her students and especially enjoyed teaching science. Prior to teaching, she served as an extension agent with Cumberland County 4H. She was a supportive member of the Farm Bureau Women, served on the Putnam County Soil Conservation District Board, and was a member of the Putnam County Education Association. Shirley’s family will receive friends Tuesday March 17 from 3 – 8 p.m. at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Joy Irene Chappellet, age 70 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, March 18th at 10:00 a.m. at Dyer Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Double Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Chappellet’s family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. She died Monday morning, March 16th at her home. She was born March 31, 1949 in Putnam Co., TN to the late Grady Haul and Anna Margaret Chaffin Scott. Joy loved her family and gatherings with her loved ones. She was a loving mother and wife who loved camping and fishing with her family in years gone. She was creative and enjoyed canning and sewing. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services for James Leon Luna, age 70, of Walling, will be held Wednesday at 1pm at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Taylor’s Providence. He passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 in Nashville, TN. He was born on August 17, 1949 to the late Wilburn & Rosie Luna in Sparta. Leon loved fishing, collecting cars and collecting guns. Survivors include; Son- Christopher Luna of Sparta; Daughter- Brandi Elrod and husband Jeremey of Sparta; Grandchildren- Aareyann, Daylon, Drew, Kenna, Carlee and Rylee; Brother- Wilburn Luna of Crossville; Sister- Patricia Griffin and husband Melvin of Sparta. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bro. Leon Jones officiating.

Funeral services for Mr. Elisha Benjamin King, age 77 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday March 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the West End Church of Christ Cemetery. His family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. King died suddenly Sunday March 15, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Wilmoth Hunter, 85, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., Tuesday from 12 Noon – 8 P.M., and again on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at NHC Healthcare in Cookeville. She was born July 20, 1934, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Lee Stafford and Lula Cantrell Stafford. She was a housewife, and a member of the Dodson Branch Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband: James Wilmoth; and her Husband: Boone Hunter. Survivors include 4 Sons: Jimmy (Linda) Wilmoth of Bloomington Springs, TN, James Lee Wilmoth of Nashville, TN, Tony (Marilyn) Wilmoth of Cookeville, TN, and Jeff Wilmoth of Cookeville, TN; 2 Daughters: Carolyn (JD) Phillips of Cookeville, TN, and Cathy (Bobby) Wilmoth of Cookeville, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Jonathan, Jamie, Jennifer, and Lucas; and 3 Great Grandchildren. Eddie Bryant will officiate at the services.

Graveside Services for Paul Garrison, age 81 of Cookeville will be held March 28, 2020 at 2pm at Boma Cemetery. He passed from this Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born Monday, March 28, 1938 in Gainesboro, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Vestel and Annie (Ramsey) Garrison. Paul was a Machinist and retired from Clawson, Michigan. The family has chosen cremation.

Memorial services for Wayne H. Lawton, 72, of Cookeville, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. The family has chosen cremation. He passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. He was born April 28, 1947, in Pawtucket, RI, to the late Albert Forrest Lawton, Sr. and Betty Mo Mitchell Lawton. On December 14, 2003, he was married to Carol Sue Dailey Lawton, who survives. He was a truck driver, and served in the U.S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his Wife: Carol Sue Dailey Lawton of Cookeville; 1 Son: Caleb Lawton of Cookeville; 2 Daughters: Christina (Edward) Laquerre and Jaclyn (Tony) McCloud, all of Cookeville, TN; 8 Grandchildren: Patrick, Eric, Dylan, Amara, Marcus, Haven, Balon, and Kayson; 6 Great Grandchildren: Gayvn, Alina, Abigail, Jaden, Logan, and Bailey; 1 Brother: Albert Lawton, Jr. of RI; 1 Sister: Janice Trottier of RI; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 28, 2020 from 9 A.M. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project by contacting the funeral home.
