Graveside services and interment for Janice Jaquess Bohannon, age 72, of Cookeville, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday June 19 at Cookeville City Cemetery. Rev Tony Phipps will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until departure to the cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Mrs. Bohannon passed away Monday June 17, 2019 at her home.

Funeral services for JT Grasty, age 79, of Cookeville will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Pastors Bobby Floyd and Gary Farris officiating. Interment will follow in Sand Springs Memorial Gardens. JT passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville following brief illness. He was born Friday, June 7, 1940 in Cookeville to the late Walter Reese Grasty and Nannie Hood Grasty. JT was a member of Cookeville Free Will Baptist Church. He drove a truck for Eastern Foam for over 30 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Cordell Grasty, LD Grasty, and Troy C. Grasty; two sisters, Estelle Farley and Roselle Roberts. He is survived by a sister, Adelle Horn of Cookeville; special friend, Wanda Clinton of Cookeville, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Wednesday, June 19, 2019, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Presley Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Heather Charity Herron, age 33 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2019 beginning at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Fox officiating. Heather passed from this life Friday, June 14, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical. She was born Thursday, June 20, 1985 in Cookeville. She was the daughter of Dwight and Sandra (Scarlett) Herron of Buffalo Valley. Heather graduated from Upperman High School in 2003 and graduated from Mr. Wayne Barber School. She worked as a master barber for many years. Recently she worked for Lyft and enjoyed her spare time working with handicapped children. She loved the ocean and spending time with her family. Heather is survived by: 1 Daughter: Alana Maye Davis; 3 Brothers: Dwight II (Melody) Herron; Daniel (Vickie) Herron; Dustin (Crystal) Herron. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM.

Funeral service for Betty Love Burchell Matheney, age 87 of Sparta, will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in the Frasiers Chapel Cemetery. Betty passed away on Sunday Morning June 16, 2019 at NHC of Sparta. She was born May 30, 1932 in Rutledge, TN to the late Henry Lee and Mary Lou McDaniels Burchell. She was also preceded in death by her husband: George W. Matheney, Daughter: Gail Matheney, 2 Sons: Buddy and Michael Matheney along with 3 sisters. She is survived by her Children: Emma (Robert) Smith, Liz McGinty, Gary (Pam) Matheney, Pat (Rick) Hutchins, Ricky Matheney, Greg Matheney, and Misty (Gene) Williams; 25 Grandchildren, 38 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5pm until 8pm on Tuesday evening.

Mrs. Phillips Was Born On May 30, 1946, In Monterey, To The Late George And Margie Farley Holloway. Mrs. Phillips Passed Away On Sunday, June 16, 2019, At Standing Stone Care And Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Phillips Worked With Crossville Walmart For Over 25 Years. She Worked In The Garment Industry And Was An Avid Quilter. She Was Of The Baptist Faith. Ms. Reagan passed away at her residence on Sunday, June 16, 2019. Ms. Reagan was born on July 30, 1953 in Jamestown to Junior Crabtree and Lola Franklin. She was born Tuesday, September 12, 1939 in Baxter to the late Arvil Lafever and Bessie Modena Roberts Lafever. Funeral services for John Riggs Gentry II, age 32 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, June 20, 2019 beginning at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Evangelista officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. John passed from this life Friday, June 14, 2019 in Cookeville. He was born Wednesday, April 15, 1987 in Cookeville, he was the son of Riggs Gentry and Beverly (Brown) Gentry. John was a loving Son, Brother, Grandson, Nephew, and friend to all that knew him. He loved all of his family and was always glad to take care of his sister: Racheal Lauren Gentry. He loved fishing and hunting, playing music and singing, and just being around people in general. He was definitely a people person. In addition to his parents he is survived by: 1 Sister: Racheal Lauren Gentry of Cookeville; Grandmothers: Jo Gentry, and Velma Brown; Numerous Aunts and Uncles. He was preceded in death by his Grandfathers: Raymond Harvey Brown and Lloyd “Cat” Gentry. Funeral services for Roger D. Harris, 64, of Gainesboro, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. He passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at his brother’s residence. He was born August 9, 1954, in Jackson County, to the late Jessie Lee Harris and Clio Cynthia Harris. He worked in logging and sawmills, and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Companion: Margie Mullins; and 1 Sister: Dimple Hawkins. Survivors include 1 Son: Roger Dale Harris, Jr. of Cookeville; 1 Daughter: Amanda Kay Harris of Bloomington Springs; 2 Grandchildren: Brayden King and Jayden King; 3 Brothers: Bill Harris of Gainesboro, Willie Harris of Voss, TX, and Roy Lee Harris and wife, Rhonda Lynn Harris of Gainesboro; and 4 Sisters: Frances Johnson of Silver Point, Margaret (Troy) Dockery of Cookeville, Vickie (Doug) Maynard of Carthage, and Cynthia Ogletree of Sparta. Mr. Holloway Passed Away On Sunday, June 9, 2019, At His Home. Mr. Holloway Was Born On April 2, 1958, In Jamestown, To The Late Marvin Paul Holloway, Jr. And Joanna Allred Holloway Of Monterey. Mr. Holloway Was A Brick Mason. He Was A United States Navy Veteran. He Loved His Family And His Favorite Hobbies Were Shooting Pool And Fishing. In Addition To His Mother, He Is Survived By His 2 Daughters, Latasha Wilcutt Of Cookeville, Jacquline Holloway Of Silver Point; 5 Grandchildren, Maiah Celeste Ringwald, Kason Rylan Ringwald, Steven David Moore, Chase Dewayne Wilson And Gracelyn Faith Wilcutt; Sister And Brother-In-Law, Holly And George Hall Of Monterey; Brother And Sister-In-Law, Sam And Amanda Holloway Of Monterey. Memorial Services for Glenna Sharon, age 70 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 beginning at 3:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 3850 Gainesboro Grade Cookeville, TN 38501. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He passed from this life Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born Monday, March 28, 1949 in Lake City, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Carr and Alma Naomi (Byrd) Foust. Glenna Sharon was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed sharing her strong faith with everyone she met. (JW.org). She was a meek and kind person who loved her God, her Congregation, her Family, and Friends and Neighbors. She also loved animals especially small dogs.
