Mrs. Linda Faye Savage, age 48 of Livingston, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Mr. Paul Clark Lewis, age 65 of Sparta, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at his home. No services are planned at this time. Mr. Lewis was born June 18, 1957, in Tamuning, Guam, the son of the late Carroll and Jane Clark Lewis. He was a collector of many things, and loved gardening, cooking, woodworking, and baseball. Survivors include his life partner, Lorna Damerow of Sparta; a daughter, Courtney Lewis (Chico Mejia) of Taylor, TX.

Funeral services for Mr. Greg Eugene Brown age 55 of Sparta, will be held Friday, July 8, at 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Old Bon Air Cemetery. Mr. Brown passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Saint Thomas Highlands in Sparta. He was born September 20, 1966, in Urbana, OH, the son of the late Earl Brown and Betty Carol Roberts. Survivors include a daughter, Molly Brown. Visitation will be held Friday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Funeral services for Mrs. Juanita McConnell Compton, age 91 of the Willow Grove community, will be held Friday, July 8, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial will be held Saturday, July 9, at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Goodlettsville. Mrs. Compton passed away Monday, July 4, 2022, at the Overton County Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 19, 1930, in Davidson County, the daughter of the late Robert Adair & Katie Jenkins McConnell. Juanita was a 1948 graduate of East High School in Nashville and was a member of Jackson Park Church of Christ in Nashville and the Free Communion Church of Christ. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed sewing, cooking and participating in church activities. Survivors include a son, Bob (Susan) Compton of Wilson County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Compton. Visitation will be held Friday, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Funeral services for Mr. Lowell Harrison Winningham, age 80 of Byrdstown, will be held Friday, July 8, at 2:00 p.m., at Brown Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery, with military honors conducted by Hull-York DAV Chapter 5 and American Legion Post 137 of Jamestown. Mr. Winningham passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Overton County Care and Rehab. He was born January 17, 1942, in Monroe, the son of the late Posey Winningham and Ina (Sells) Winningham. He was a United States Army veteran, having served in Vietnam, and retired as a MSG with 25th Infantry Division, 65th Engineer Battalion. Lowell was also a former truck driver for Pickett County Highway Department and Averitt Express. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Roberta Thomas; a stepson, Bill (Tammy) Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Naoma (Burchell) Winningham. Visitation will be held Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Graveside services for Mr. Timmy Gene “Tim” Masters, age 60 of Algood, will be held Saturday, July 9, at 10:00 a.m., at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Masters passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born Tuesday, September 12, 1961, in Jacksonville, FL, the son of the late Raymond Millard Masters and Nola Jean (Swift) Masters. Survivors include a brother, Jimmy (Anita) Masters of Soddy Daisy; three sisters, Brenda Harrell of South Carolina, Barbara Grissom and Beverly (M.J.) Dickson, both of Cookeville, and Stevie Dunn of Baxter.

Funeral services for Mr. Timothy Daryl “Tim” Brock, age 58 of Sparta, will be held Saturday, July 9, at 11:00 a.m., at First Christian Church in Sparta. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Mr. Brock passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at his home. Visitation will be held Friday, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Celebration of Life services for Ms. Sandy Heady, age 62, of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, July 9, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bohannon Cemetery in the Calfkiller community. Ms. Heady passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born Saturday, January 23, 1960, at The Hill Air Force Base in Utah, the daughter of the late James And Sharon Schmidt Heady. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Sara (Tim) Golden of Cookeville; a son, Scott Snedeker of Silver Point. Visitation will be held Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Katherine Scott, age 88 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, July 9, at 12:00 p.m., at Presley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Smith Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Scott passed away Monday, July 4, 2022, at Bailey Manor in Cookeville. She was born Friday, June 22, 1934, in Gainesboro, the daughter of the late Leander Woolbright and Martha Garrison Woolbright. She enjoyed gardening, raising vegetables and growing flowers. Survivors include a son, Timothy (Debra) Scott of Cookeville. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Scott; a son, Michael Scott; a daughter, Sharon Scott. Visitation will be held Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Jenell (Conner) Hutchinson, age 75 of Murfreesboro and formerly of Byrdstown, will be held Saturday, July 9, at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Amonett Cemetery. Mrs. Hutchinson passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro. She was born February 5, 1947, in Byrdstown, the daughter of the late Thomas Conner and Ruby Maudean (Neal) Conner. Mrs. Hutchinson worked as a billing Clerk. Survivors include two sons, Brian (Melissa) Shaw and Timothy Hutchinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Hutchinson. Visitation will be held Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Graveside services for Mr. Walter Marshall Parris, age 87 of Monroe, will be held Saturday, July 9, at 2:00 p.m., at Cope Cemetery. Mr. Parris passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at his residence. He was born February 3, 1935, in Pickett County, the son of the late Wilburn and Minnie Holt Parris. Marshall was a 60-year member of the Hatcher Hall Masonic Service. He was also a member at Monroe Christian Church for over 60 years, where he served as a Deacon and Elder for more than 40 years. Survivors include his wife, Natalie Parris of Monroe; a son, Darrell Marshall Parris (Kathy Harper) of Hermitage; three daughters, Tammie Woodward (Ronnie F. Smith) of Monroe, Cindy (Scott) Wright of Cincinnati, OH, and Denise (Walter) Tampke of Henderson, NV. Visitation will be held at the graveside.

Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Agnes Scarlett, age 98 of Baxter, will be held Saturday, July 9, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Scarlett Cemetery. Mrs. Scarlett passed away Monday, July 4, 2022, at her home. She was born May 25, 1924, in Putnam County, the daughter of the late Huley Lee and Hattie Apple Fields. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Rodgers (Bill Geary) of Ft. Myers, FL, and Sandra (Dwight) Herron of Buffalo Valley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Scarlett. Visitation will be held Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

A memorial service for Mr. Richard Percy White, age 84 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, July 21, at 12:00 p.m. at Stevens Street Baptist Church. Mr. White passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022, at his home. He  was born April 23, 1938, in Nashville, the son of the late Harold and Christine White. He served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1960 aboard the U.S.S. Warrick. During his service, he was on the Navy Boxing Team and received the Navy Expert Pistol Shot Medal. Richard owned several small businesses and also worked at the Nashville Ford Glass Plant. He attended Stevens Street Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Beverly Swafford White; two sons, Jesse Dean (Debbie) White and Harold Bryant (Susan) White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jesse Todd White. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 21, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
