Funeral services for Kenneth “Popcorn” Morris, age 81, of Cookeville will be held Friday, May 10th, 2019 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Johnny Fox officiating. Interment will follow in West Cemetery on John West Rd. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 9, 2019, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Friday, May 10, 2019, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Presley Funeral Home. Popcorn passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at his home in Cookeville. He was born Tuesday, June 22, 1937 in Armathwaite, Tennessee to the late Erve Sidney Morris and Bertha Liza Webb Morris. Mr. Morris was a member of Holladay Church of Christ. He will long be remembered as a great provider for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He worked as a Milkman for Southern Belle Dairy for over 42 years. He enjoyed old cars, and in years past even raced some.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Joyce Crabtree Neal, age 80, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2019 from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Denton Hummel will officiate. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Thursday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at the Livingston Funeral Home. Mrs. Neal passed from this life on Monday, May 6, 2019 at her home in Livingston. She was born in Overton County to the late James W. and Stella Thomas Crabtree. Joyce loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and her little dog Gizmo.

Funeral services for Mary Marie Cunningham, age 61 of Spencer, TN, will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 2:00PM from the Chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Fox officiating. Burial will follow at John Young Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 4:00-9:00PM and Friday after 7:00AM. Mrs. Cunningham passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the S. Thomas Highlands Hospital in Sparta, TN. Mary Marie Cunningham was born on October 11, 1957 in Gainesboro, TN to the late Luke and Ruth Meadows. She worked for Red Kap and attended Holladay Church of Christ.

Funeral services for Charles Cecil Key, age 85, of Algood will be held Friday, May 10th, 2019 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Pastors Mike Owens and Steve Warren officiating. Interment will follow in Paran Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 9, 2019, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Friday, May 10, 2019, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Presley Funeral Home. Mr. Key passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at his home in Algood, Tennessee following extended illness with his loving wife and family by his side. He was born Sunday, February 4, 1934 in Winterhaven, Florida to the late Cecil Key and Linnie Magdalene Ray Key. Mr. Key attended Faith Chapel Ministries. He will be remembered as a great man of God, loved Jesus, and wanted to share Jesus with anyone who would talk with him. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He retired from Norwalk Furniture. He loved to trade cars, knives, gardening and picking around on his guitar. He loved for anyone to come visit, no matter who it was, and sit on the porch and chat. Since retirement, he loved to go to flea markets, yard sales, and work in the yard.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Jennifer Lee Secord Hogue, age 31, of Jackson County and formerly of Overton will be conducted 4 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2019 from the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Bro. Bobby Gore will officiate. Jennifer passed from this life on Sunday, May 5, 2019. She was born in DeKalb County to Timothy Lee Secord, and the late Melissa Faye McClintock Secord. Jennifer was a 2005 graduate of Livingston Academy. She enjoyed music, cooking and art. Her greatest joy were her children. Jennifer leaves behind her daughter, Gracie Hogue of Cookeville; sons, Lyon Hogue, and Zach Hogue both of Cookeville; father, Tim Secord & Stephanie of Gainesboro; brother, Tim Secord, Jr.; sisters, Mari’e Poe Gilpatrick and husband Jonathan of Celina, and Melinda Poe of Murfreesboro; grandparents, Paul & Estelle Secord of Rickman; several Uncles, Aunts, cousins and friends. In addition to her mother, Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lavenia Ledbetter. The family will welcome friends at the Gravesite.Memorial Donations may be made to the family by contacting Speck Funeral Home.

Funeral services for James “Pap” Harness age 77, of Baxter will be held Saturday, May 11th, 2019 at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Pastor Clint Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Pap passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville. Pap was born Sunday, April 5, 1942 in Baxter to the late James Franklin Harness and Inez Sherrill Harness. Pap started his own roofing company. He also worked at Southern Belle Dairy for several years. He was a race car driver and a farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carson Harness and a sister, Dorothy Marie Harness. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Gail Harness; sons, Darrell Harness and Tracey Harness (Martina), all of Sparta; daughters, Teresa Harness (Steven) and Ceresa West (Tim), all of Baxter; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joyce Harness of Cookeville. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 11, 2019, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Presley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Presley Funeral Home to help with final expenses.

Funeral Services for Mr. William “Butch” Holman, age 91, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, May 11, 2019 from the First Christian Church in Livingston. Rev. James Shenko will officiate. Burial to follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. Mr. Butch Holman passed from this life on Wednesday evening, May 8, 2019 at the Livingston Regional Medical Center. Born at home on March 13, 1928 to the late William Lester and Mae Smith Holman. Butch was a 1946 graduate of Livingston Academy. He served 46 years as the Executive Director of the Livingston Housing Authority, and was the past president of the Tennessee Housing Authority. Butch was a charter member of the Hidden Valley Country Club. He was a member of the Livingston Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner. Golfing was his life, he also enjoyed singing gospel songs in the choir at the First Christian Church, where he was a song leader. He was an avid Tennessee VOLS Fan, and bowler. Butch served the city of Livingston as a past City Alderman, and his county as a Overton County Commissioner. Butch leaves behind is loving wife of 67 years, Mrs. Joyce Sidwell Holman of Livingston; son, William Lee Holman of Livingston; daughter, Betty Massengille of Livingston; grandchildren, James William Massengille & wife Lee Ann of Cookeville, Matthew Massengille & wife Jill of Chattanooga, Beau Massengille & wife Margaret of Lebanon, Gary Massengille of Cookeville, Cecilia Holman Little of Tyler, TX, and McKenzy Holman of Livingston; great-grandchildren, James Matthew Massengille, John Clay Massengille, Jack Thomas Massengille, Gracyn Massengille, Gillian Massengille, Mae Massengille, Ashleigh Arnold & husband Hank, and William Little; great-great-granddaughter, Ellie Arnold; sister, Mrs. Marie Wiggins of Nashville; nieces, Jenny Wiggins, and Betty Lynch & husband Pat; nephew, Bill Wiggins & wife Gaye; also several great nieces and nephews and family. In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his son-in-law, James Edward Massengille; brother-in-law, Greer Wiggins, and baby sister, Lucille Holman. The family will welcome friends at the Church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m.

Funeral services for Eulus Carson Holloway, age 87, of Cookeville will be held Monday, May 13th, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with grandson, Quentin Lee and Bro. Frank Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Burris Cemetery. Mr. Holloway passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019 at his home in Cookeville following extended illness. He was born Sunday, July 5, 1931 in Gainesboro to the late William Washington Holloway and Lola Frances Clinton Holloway. Carson will long be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He loved to share a good story with family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Maudine Matheney Holloway; son, Roy Carson Holloway; brother, Carl Holloway; sisters, Ethel Cole, Lillian Newsom, and Dorothy Holloway. He is survived by four daughters, Rita Lee (Dale) of Dodson Branch, Barbara Hart of Cookeville, Theresa Manis (Ronny) of Cookeville, and Tina Manis (Robert) of Cookeville; son, Curtiss Ray Holloway of Cookeville; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 12, 2019, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM and Monday, May 13, 2019, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Presley Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Ather Anna Lee (Brown) Hurt, age 85 of Baxter, will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at 12:00 pm at Parson Funeral Home in Muncie, Indiana with Rev. Andrew Phipps officiating. Interment will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. She passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at home surrounded by her family. Ather was born Friday, September 15, 1933, in Mt. Pisgah, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Manard H and the late Ida (Davis) Brown. Ather was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of the Memorial United Baptist Church in Muncie, Indiana. Ather was a member of the Eastern Star – Parker Lodge and the Warner Gear and Ball State Sympathy Club. Visitation with the family will be held Monday, May 13, 2019, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday, May 14, 2019, from 11:00 am until time of service at Parson Funeral Home in Muncie, Indiana.
