Julie Ann (Bice) Moorefield-Kaminski, of Fairfield Glade, joined her Lord and Savior in Heaven on July 3, 2023. Julie was born Thursday, July 24, 1941, to Carl Bice and Mary Elizabeth Thompson (Weeks) in Birmingham, Alabama, Julie lived a full and robust life. Julie utilized her business degree at Masonite International, where she retired as an expert in her industry and a trailblazer for the women after her. Following retirement, Julie and Don traveled the world, volunteered in their local church, gave many rescue dogs a loving home, and eventually settled in Fairfield Glades to spend the rest of their days with their cherished great-granddaughter Nevaeh. Julie is preceded in death by her loving husband Donald Kaminski, her beloved daughter Dawn Celeste Moorefield Henderlight, and Harvey Moorefield. “Juju” will be remembered and missed dearly by her greatest joy and best friend, great-granddaughter Nevaeh Lynn Cooper and her devoted son Louis Beasley Moorefield. Julie will also be fondly remembered and missed by her daughters Len Moorefield (John Stewart) and Dottie Linyard, granddaughters Koye Cooper (Matthew), Kara Henderlight (Justin Lechy), and Meredith Lockamy (Adam), grandsons James Moorefield (Kelly), Ben, Gray, and Mack Linyard, and many great-grandchildren. Julie never met a stranger but cherished her closest and dearest friends Bonnie, Meg, and Debbie. A celebration of Julie’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Julie Moorefield-Kaminski to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Revolution Church of Crossville, or Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church of Knoxville.
Graveside services and burial for Miss Brenda Kay Dishman, 68 of Livingston, will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Liberty Cemetery. Miss Dishman passed away at her home Friday, June 30, 2023. Miss Dishman was born in Livingston on April 30, 1955, to the late Bethel and Ruth (Carmack) Dishman. She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a brother, Steve B. Dishman. She is survived by one uncle, Herbert Dishman, of Indiana and several cousins and friends. Family will receive friends at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family by contacting Hall Funeral Home.
Funeral service for Danny Paul Miller, 61 of Sparta, will be held on Friday July 7, 2023 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Thurman Funeral Home. Burial will be at Howell Cemetery. Danny Paul Miller passed away on July 4, 2023 in Sparta. Danny was born on June 20, 1962 in Sparta. He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Miller; grandparents, Arnold and Irene Spears; Sam and Rosetta Miller. He is survived by his mother, Lois Jean Miller; brother, Ronnie (Debra) Miller; nephews, Jeremiah (Kristen) Miller, Joshua (Elaina) Miller, Brandon (Amy) Marshall, and Billy (Christy) Marshall; niece, Benita (Joshua) Jones; aunt, Kathy Teeples; uncle and aunt, Larry and Nancy Spears; cousins, Sandra Stafford and Lisa Cantrell; along with several great nieces and nephews. Visition will be held on Friday July 7, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Thurman Funeral Home.

Jesse Flowers officiating. She passed from this life Saturday, June 24, 2023, at her home in Baxter. Born Monday, September 14, 1953 in Roseburg, Oregon, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Shirley (Ireland) Flynn. Phyllis was a loving Wife and Sister . She was a Veteran and served during the Vietnam Era. She is survived by her loving Husband, Norman Allen Frese. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
Funeral services for Lewis Osby Scott, 57 of Baxter, will be Saturday, July 8 at 2 PM at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment with military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard will follow in Double Springs Cemetery. Lewis died Monday, July 3, 2023 at his home. He was born May 23, 1966 in Cookeville to Kitty Burton Williams of Baxter and the late L.P. Scott. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by wife Hilari Autumn Brown Scott on February 25, 2018, step mother Sandy Scott, step fathers Herman Gale Duke and Almer Williams, grandparents: Jimmy Osby Scott and Osia Mae Scott, Chan and Madelyn Carver. Lewis was a 1985 graduate of Upperman High School in Baxter where he played football. After graduating he joined the Army and served four years. Lewis enjoyed singing, writing songs and traveling. Survivors in addition to his mother include daughters Madelyn Scott of Baxter, Helena Scott of Cookeville, sons Lance Scott of Cookeville and Levi Scott of Baxter, brothers Terry (Ann) Scott, Mark (Kelli) Scott, Craig Scott all of Baxter, Jason (Terra) Scott of Gainesboro, step-sisters Melody ( Steve) Hickey of Baxter, Denise (Darren) Carter of Gainesboro. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 AM until service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations toward the funeral expenses by contacting the funeral home.
Funeral service for Ronald Wayne Taylor, 73 of Sparta, will be held Sunday, July 9, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in the Lower Board Valley Cemetery. Ronald was born on August 15, 1949, and passed from this life at Erlanger surrounded by his family on July 4, 2023. His favorite job was being a truck driver. He had driven for many miles. He also had some factory experience and worked on a dairy farm when he was younger. He served in the army as well. He loved his family. He is preceded in death by: His parents, John Rado (Pappy) Taylor and Tillie Mae Jones Taylor; His wife of over 40 years, Glenda Sue Taylor; His brothers, Johnny Ray, Roy, Robert, Doug, Donnie, Riley Jean, Bobby Gibbs; His sisters, Mary Ellen Young, Dorthy Reece, Estelle Miller, Ollie Davis; Two sons, Jonnie Taylor and Matthew Taylor; His step-mother, Mary Ballew Taylor. He is survived by: Sons: Ronnie (Mary) Taylor and Shannon Lafferty; Daughter: Cathy (Carl) Presley; Grandkids: Brandi Taylor, Jessica Taylor, Kimberly Taylor, David R (Davin) Taylor, Candi Presley, James Presley, and Lori Schwab; Great Grandkids: Kayden Wilson, Karlie Wilson, Madison Davis, David W Taylor, Jaylin Judd, Jasmine Judd, Abigail Presley.
