Obituaries For Monday, November 26

Greg Hill, 69, of Cookeville passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018. Greg was born in Evanston, IL on Thursday, November 24, 1949 to the late Louise V Hill and Blaine W. Hill .Greg was a Comptroller and Plant Manager for Wilson Sporting Goods for 30 years serving them in the United States and in the United Kingdom. He enjoyed food, life and people and was loved by all. Greg is survived by: Two Sons: Barrie J. Hill Kingston Springs; Garrett G. (Amanda) Hill, Louisville; One Daughter: Kerry J. (John) Wiggins Cookeville; Grand Children: Jack Wiggins, Scott Wiggins, Kate Wiggins, Emmerson Hill, Kelsey Hill and Breanna Collins; One Brother: Jeff (Dru Ann) Hill of Salt Lake City, Utah. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and one Grandson Brandon “Trent” Collins. Mr. Hill had chosen cremation and the family will have a private family service at a later date.

Funeral services for Mr. Gary Spires, age 73 of Madison, TN and formerly of Cookeville will be held Tuesday November 27 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Phillips Cemetery. Gary’s family will receive friends Monday from 5 p.m until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Gary died Thursday November 22, 2018 at the Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

Entombment services Mrs. LaVerne Floyd, 82 of Cookeville will be held Tuesday November 27 at 1 p.m. at Crest Lawn Cemetery with Dr. Charles McCaskey officiating. Mrs. Floyd’s family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery. She died Wednesday November 21, 2018 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Freddie E. Light, age 69 of Sparta, will begin at 2:00PM Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Thurman Funeral Home. Internment Board Valley Cemetery. Officiating Bro. Ray Young. Fellowship meal to follow at Board Valley Church. Light passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Lifecare of Sparta. Freddie was born on March 3, 1949 in Fayetteville, West Virginia to Ed (Bud) Light and Helen Louise Light (Wriston).

Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Crawford, 94 of Livingston will be held Wednesday November 28 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. She died Monday November 26, 2018 at 12:27 a.m. in Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. Jane’s family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home.

Celebration Of Life Services For Patricia Ann Miko, Age 75, Of The Cumberland Cove Community Of Monterey, Tennessee, Will Be Conducted On Sunday, December 2, 2018, From 2:00 PM Until 4:00 PM At The Cumbeland Cove Welcome Center. Rev. Canon Michael Spears-Jones Will Officiate. Mrs. Miko Passed Away On Saturday, October 27, 2018, At The Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She Grew Up In South Florida But Was Fond Of Saying “I Was Not Born In Tennessee, But I Got Here As Soon As I Could”. She Loved The Climate And Beauty Of Tennessee. Mrs. Miko Was Born On August 4, 1943, In Rochester, New York, To The Late Frederick And Elizabeth Hudlett. Mrs. Miko Attended University Of Alabama – ROLL TIDE. She Was Executive Director Of Mirawood Day School In Hollywood, Florida. She Loved Volunteer Work, Including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, And Helping Hands. She Loved All Animals, Especially Rescue Dogs. She Enjoyed Traveling, Reading And Decorating The House For Every Holiday. She Was An Active Member Of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. She Is Survived By Her Husband Of 53 Years, Stephen Robert Miko; 1 Daughter, Elissa Anne Miko And Companion, Shane Grathwohl; 2 Sons, Dr. Seann Robert Miko, Kyle William Miko And Wife, Ximena Lynda Miko; 2 Grandchildren, Isabella And Jacob Miko; Sister, Pamela Powell; Brother, Jeff Hudlett. In Addition To Her Parents, She Was Preceded In Death By Her Brother, Frederick Hudlett.
