Golda Bohannon, Age 89, Of Monterey, Passed Away On Sunday, November 11, 2018, At Her Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
Robert Eugene Key, 65 of Gainesboro, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Robert was born Wednesday, October 7, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Richard and Dora Taylor Key. Robert was a loving and caring husband, dad, brother, and grandpa. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Robert was a hard worker and he was always there for his friends and family whenever they needed him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, and we will cherish the memories of him in our hearts forever. Robert is survived by: Wife: Kathy Rose (Lee) Key; Son: Shane and Wendy Key; 2 Stepdaughters: Rachel and Paul Hunt & Tabatha and Scott Gaw; Sister: Beth and Roy Gann; Nephews: Donnie and Shannon Tayes; 11 Grandchildren: Harley Key, Jacob Rushing, Jared Rushing, Justin Rushing, Johnathan Rushing, Jacob Hunt, Courtney Hunt, Austin Gaw, Matthew Gaw, Emma Gaw & Maggie Gaw. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by: Sister, Barbara Jo Key, Brother, Richard “Ricky” Key and Niece, Paulette Knowles. Robert chose cremation, the family followed his wishes and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Donations are asked to be made to The American Cancer Society.

Funeral services for Ernest Junior Roberts, 70 of Silver Point will be Tuesday, November 13 at 11 AM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Maynard Cemetery in the Cherry Hill Community of DeKalb County. Mr. Roberts died Thursday, November 8, 2018 at his home. He was born September 22, 1948 in Putnam County to the late Ernest Sidney and Martha Dee Bates Roberts. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law Thomas William “Turtle” Kays. He was a member of Silver Point Baptist Church. He was employed 27 years with Norwalk Furniture of Cookeville. Since retirement he has done electric and plumbing work. He was a people-person enjoying being with family and friends. He liked fishing, hunting, working in the garden and helping kids in sports activities. He served many years with the Putnam County Fire Department-Silver Point station. Survivors include wife of 48 years (Married June 20, 1970) Treble James Roberts of Silver Point, daughter Kayla Beth Roberts and significant other Greg Sykes of Bradenton, FL, son John Eric Roberts of Silver Point, granddaughters Catherine Deanna Roberts and Jennifer Leanna Kays. Active Pallbearers will be Larry and Ray James, John Ramsey, Terry Fields, Jacob Taylor, David Clemons, Jason Flatt and Alyssa Elmore. Bro. Tony Crow and Bro. Joe Wiles will officiate. Funeral services for Mr. James B. Parrott, age 85, of Livingston will be conducted 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Kerry Duke will officiate. Burial will be in the Wirmingham Cemetery. Mr. Parrott passed from this life on Sunday evening, November 11, 2018 from the Overton County Health & Rehab Center. He was born September 4, 1933 in Overton County to the late Charlie & Hessie Stover Parrott. James was a member of the Free Communion Church of Christ. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, brothers, and sister. James loved all his church family. He enjoyed hobby farming, working in his church, also his horses and donkeys. James leaves his loving wife, Mrs. Betty Smith Parrott of Livingston; sons Billy Parrott, and Joe Parrott both of Livingston; daughter, Jamie Rogers & husband Ryan of Maryville; granchidlren, Garrett Rogers, and Camden James Rogers; brothers, Roy Parrott & wife Jessie of Livingston, and Charles “Chig” Parrott & wife Rose of Livingston; sister, Ruby Bilbrey of Livingston. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister, Katie Dean Parrott; and brothers, John Parrott, and Kersey Stover. Patsy passed away at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital on Sunday afternoon, November 11, 2018. Patsy was born in Erwin to the late Bryan and Zeta Mactionsh Simmons on Monday, March 27, 1950. Funeral services for Mr. Carl F. Allen, 80, of Gainesboro, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Allentown Cemetery in Gainesboro. He passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston. He was born November 11, 1938, in Gainesboro, to the late Lewis K. Allen and Betty Ann Allen. He worked as a drill operator in road construction, and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Lewis Wayne Allen; and 3 Brothers: Douglas Allen, Clay Allen, and Donald Eugene Allen. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Lisa Hammock of Gainesboro; 3 Grandchildren: Sarah Hammock, Kayla Allen, and Tabitha Crawley; 2 Great Grandchildren: Desteny and Austin Crawley; 2 Brothers: Ralph Allen of CA, and Paul (Carolyn) Allen of AL; 1 Sister: Barbara (Robert) Nemore of Gainesboro; and 1 Sister-in-Law: Mildred Allen of Gainesboro. Funeral services for Mr. James Lester “Jim” Horton, age 66 of Sparta, will be conducted 3:00pm Thursday, November 15, 2018 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Jim passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at his sister’s residence. Jim was born September 26, 1952 in Sparta to the late Herman & Viola Briggs Horton. He worked for over 35 years at Duramatic in McMinnville. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and riding the roads of White County with a twist of King B. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by brother in law Ken Patrick. Survivors include his brother Robert (Treva) Horton; Sister: Carolyn Horton Patrick; Nieces: Valorie (Ken) Crouch, Julie Henson; Nephew: Michael (Emily) Horton; Two great-nieces; Six great-nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00pm until service time at Hunter Funeral Home. Ronnie Taylor will officiate.
