Mr. Floyd Rinehart age 95 of Cookeville died Monday July 20 at Heritage Pointe Assisted Living.

Clarence Wilson, age 91 of Cookeville, passed away Sunday evening at Life Care Center of Sparta. Arrangements are incomplete.

Rita Pickard, age 89 of Cookeville, passed away Sunday afternoon at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete.

Earl Serguis Riis, 87 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020, at Life Care Center of Sparta. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.

Jimmy Lee Woody, 65 of Cookeville, passed away on Sunday, July 19, at his home. Jimmy chose cremation, the family followed his wishes, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

William Andrew Menges Jr., Age 86, Passed Away On Saturday, July 18, 2020, At Overton County Health And Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Menges Was Born On December 16, 1933, In Youngsville, New York, To The Late William Andrews Sr. And Mary Toth Menges. Mr. Menges Was A Security Officer At The Airport And Was A Limo Driver In Florida.He Was A United States Korean War Navy Veteran. He Was A Hard Worker, He Loved His Nieces And Nephews, Children, Reading And Studying His Bible Daily, And Was A Loving Down To Earth Man.  He Is Survived By His Wife, Rhonda Higgins; Nieces And Nephews, Alyssa Mahoney, William Mahoney III, Patrick Mahoney, Jillian Mahoney, Ariana Silcox And Zac Silcox. In Addition To His Parents, He Was Preceded In Death By His Stepdaughter, Misty Marie Higgins. His Wishes Of Cremation Are Being Honored With Private Memorial Services Planned At A Later Date.

Mrs. Nedra Montgomery, 68 of Cookeville died Saturday, July 18, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete.

Graveside services for Tabatha Vincent, 39 of Cookeville, will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. She died on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at home in Cookeville, Tennessee. Born Tuesday, December 2, 1980 in Cookeville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Ronnie Steward and Tammy Sullivan. She was the wife of Nathan Vincent. Besides her family, Tabatha loved her three dogs. She is survived by her husband Nathan and three children.

Graveside services for Mr. Donald Freddie Dobbs, age 53 of Pikeville, formerly of Doyle, will be conducted with full military honors by the Veterans’ Honor Guard, 1:00pm Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Old Philadelphia Cemetery. There will be no visitation prior to the service. He passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 at his residence. Donald was born January 7, 1967 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Raymond & Reba Anderson Dobbs. He was a former line worker at Thomas Industries and a veteran of the Army National Guard. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife June Myers Dobbs; brothers Roger, Danny and Johnny Dobbs; sister Pamela Lane. He is survived by his sister Connie Prater and husband Landon of Pikeville.

Funeral Services for Linda Winters Gooch, age 70 of Cookeville, will be Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 1 P.M. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Bo Hendrix officiating, burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. She passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020 in Utah. Linda was born on September 12, 1949 to the late Irvin and Madeline Winters in Altoona, PA. Linda was the wife of Delmon Gooch. Linda attended Gum Springs Mountain Baptist Church. Mrs. Gooch is survived by her Husband, Delmon Gooch of Walling, TN, her daughters, Mary Catherine Calhoon (Matt) of Lebanon, TN, and Kristin Gooch (Brandell Fleming) of Vernon, FL.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home from 11 A.M. till the time of service. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Pisgah Cemetery fund.

Funeral services for William (Bill) Cecil Matheney, age 62 of Hixon and formerly of Baxter, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday July 22 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Dr. David McNabb will officiate. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery. His family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 – 7 p.m. and again Wednesday from 9 a.m. until service time. Due to COVID-19 precautions, social distancing measures will be observed.

Funeral services for Hazel U-Vonna Heady Norris, age 83 of Sparta, will be conducted 1:00pm Wednesday, July 22, 2020 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home in Sparta. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8:00pm and Wednesday from 11:00am until service time at 1:00pm. Jonathan Angel will officiate. She was born May 31, 1937 in Sparta, TN. She passed away peacefully in her home on July 17, 2020 in Sparta, TN. She was a strong, Christian woman who lived by the Word of God, loved her family dearly and melted at the sound of her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s laughter. Vonna enjoyed gardening, tending to her goats, and finding good yard sales. She was a member of Robinson Chapel Presbyterian Church.

Memorial services for Nettie Ruth Frizzell, age 77 of Cookeville, will be Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 2 PM. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. She was born June 12, 1943 in Cobb Hill, KY and she passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 77. She was the daughter of Lonnie and Sarah Susan Watson Lee. She was a LPN. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by contacting the funeral home.
