Obituaries For Friday, March 5

Brenda Gail (Hogue) Ganson, 64 of Sparta, passed away on Friday, March 5 at her sister’s home surrounded by her family. Brenda was a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, and friend. She was loved by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed. Brenda is survived by, Mother, Geneva Hogue; and three Siblings, Roger Dale Hogue, Debra Darlene Daily, and Jeraldine Maxwell. Brenda chose cremation, the family followed her wishes, and a graveside service will be held at a later date.

Ace Benson, 68, of Gainesboro,  passed away on March 4, 2021, at his residence. He is survived by two daughters,  Jennifer Brown of Livingston,  and Sabrina Marie Race of Jacksonville, FL. The family has chosen cremation, with no services at this time.

Funeral Service for Henrianne (Gaskins) Willard, age 85 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. She passed from this life on Saturday, February 27, 2021, in Charleston, South Carolina. Henrianne was born Tuesday, June 11, 1935 in Register, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Edward Gaskins, Sr. and the late Mary Evelyn (Olliff) Gaskins. Henrianne was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. She worked at Tennessee Tech University for many years as a biology professor. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed needlework, and her dogs, Buddy and Teddy. Henrianne was loved by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed. Henrianne is survived by, Son, Hackett Willard; Daughter, Leigh and Phillip Green; Brother, Ralph Gaskins, Jr. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, March 5, 2021 and again, Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 9:00 am until time of service at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Gay Nell Pippin, 83 of Cookeville will be Saturday, March 6 at 11 AM at Dodson Branch Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Smith Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Ronnie Dunn will officiate. Mrs. Pippin died Thursday, March 4 at Celina Health and Rehab . She was a active member of Dodson Branch Free Will Baptist Church. Gay Nell was a retired associate with McCord’s of Cookeville. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and being a caregiver to others. She loved her family and spending time with them. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 8 PM and after 9 AM Saturday until service time at the church. All visitation and services at the church.

Graveside services for Mrs. Dorothy Elva Carter Bentley, age 78 of Sparta, will be conducted 1:00pm Saturday, March 6 at Gravel Hill Cemetery. James Duke will officiate. Mrs. Bentley passed awayon March 4th at St. Thomas Highlands Hospital. Dorothy was born January 30, 1943 in Trenton, Michigan to the late William and Gladys Doneaud Carter. She was a retired General Motors stock chaser. She had an artistic ability and loved to paint. Dorothy enjoyed yard sales, traveling and watching mystery shows on television. Surviving family members include her husband of 38 years Eddie Dean Bentley and her step-son, Jason Bentley. There will be no visitation prior to the service.

Celebration Of Life services for Steven Ray Todd, age 66 of Sparta, will be Saturday, March 6 at 1:00 P.M. till 3:00 P.M at Thurman Funeral Home in Sparta. Mr. Todd Wednesday, March 3 At Saint Thomas Highlands Medical Center in Sparta. He was born June 21, 1954 in Warren to Garnetta Ray Flatt and Elmer Todd. He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Todd (Chad) Rutledge of McMinnville, Stevie Todd, and Lacey Todd both of Hixon.

Funeral services for Billy Joe Hampton, age 81 of Sparta, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday March 6 at Hampton’s Crossroads Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Nash Cemetery in White County. Billy passed away Wednesday evening March 3, 2021 at Standing Stone Care and Rehabilitation. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.

Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Ralph Arnold McGinley, age 74 of the Windle Community of Overton County, will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, March 6 from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. President David Brandvold and Bro. Mickey Ledbetter will officiate. Military Honors will be provided at the Funeral Home from the Overton County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. McGinley passed from this life from the comfort of his home on Wednesday afternoon, February 17 with his loving wife at his side. Ralph was retired from the United States Air Force and a member of the Livingston Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Ralph enjoyed his church family, helping others and wanted everyone to be happy and be at peace with one another. Ralph leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Devenna Fletcher McGinley of the Windle Community; sons, Ted McGinley and wife Karen of Altus, OK, Steven Jacob Carter and wife Samantha of Lucedale, MS, and Lucas Robbins of Mountain Home Air Force Base, ID; daughters, Dawn Humphrey and husband Jeffery of Waco, TX, and Rachel Sinclair and husband Heath of Lawrenceville, GA; brother, Hugh McGinley and wife Karen of Blakeslee, PA; sister, Sharon Hoensch and husband Glenn of Philadelphia. The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 12 noon until time of services.

Funeral services for Lorenzo Joel Condori, 22 of Crossville, will be at 4:00 PM on Saturday at Crest Lawn Funeral Home located at 800 West Jackson Street. He passed on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Born Saturday, May 9, 1998 in Marion, Indiana. He was the son of Tonya (Brooks)Condori Sullivan and step-father Art Sullivan. Lorenzo had the greatest sense of humor and a contagious smile. He never knew a stranger, speaking to anyone. He would give the shirt off his back. Jack of all trades and master of many, he was a roofer, home builder, woodworker, and loved to work on old Dodge pickups with Ray Huddleston. He enjoyed working with antiques with Jon Beasley. He especially enjoyed spending time with his brother, Alex Condori, his friend, confidant and his person. Lorenzo had two very special friends, being thick as thieves, Sydney Wilson and Cody Martinez . They’ve been friends since moving to TN in 2012. His very best friend and post-companion, Kaylie Huddleston. Lorenzo was a caregiver to many clients of Pace Setters. He had such a vibrant attitude and presence. He was the light in the dark. He was the biggest light in many people’s lives. The world is a lesser place without him. The one thing Lorenzo wanted in this life was for his mother to be happy. He loved her with all of his heart and soul. She was the biggest light in his life. He loved joking around and playing video games with his brother and Uncle Andrew and he was an avid gamer. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home, 800 West Jackson Street, Cookeville, Tennessee.

Funeral services for Mrs. Linnie Sue Swallows Perdue, age 73 of Livingston, will be held on Saturday evening, March 6 at 6 PM from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston. Burial will be on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 10 AM at the Harris Chapel Cemetery. Officiating with the service will be Bro. Ricky Dixon. Mrs. Perdue passed from this life on Thursday, March 4 at the Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a devoted wife and had a hand in caring for many children who have remained as family throughout her adult life. She passed from this world cared for by on of those children, Heather Baldwin at Livingston Regional Hospital. She is survived by her husband, William “Chatten” Perdue; and daughter, Cynthia (Jason) Sullivan. A special mention and thank you to friends Annazelle and Mackie O’Dell Johnson and Rose Sullivan. The family would like to extend a huge debt of gratitude to Lisa Grover, RN, Amy Kelley, RN and the entire Caris family for all their love and support the last few weeks.

Graveside Funeral Services For Esta Kathryn Buckner, Age 86 Of Monterey, Will Be Conducted On Sunday, March 7, At 2:00 PM At The Phillips Cemetery In The Anderson Community. Mrs. Buckner Passed Away On Thursday, March 4, 2021, At Carrick Glen Senior Living In Mt. Juliet. Mrs. Buckner Was Married To Harson Buckner For 66 Years. She Was A Dedicated Wife And Mother. She Loved Her Husband, Children, Grandchildren, And Great Grandchildren With All Of Her Heart. She Was A Member Of Union Grove Freewill Baptist Church And Lived Her Life For The Lord. She Was Affectionately Known As “Mema”. She Is Survived By Her Daughter And Son-In-Law, Katrina And Ed Hagerty Of Mt. Juliet; Son And Daughter-In-Law, Darson And Suzanne Buckner Of Knoxville; Sons, Lynell (And Cathy) Williams Of Monterey, and Ralph (And Jessica) Williams Of Monterey. The Family Will Receive Friends At Phillips Cemetery In The Anderson Community On Sunday, March 7, 2021, For Graveside Services. Wearing A Mask Is Encouraged.

Funeral services for Virginia Joan Dilldine, 74 of Cookeville will be Monday, March 8 at 1 PM at Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. Mrs. Dilldine died Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at her home. She was born October 27, 1946 in Cookeville to the late Ray and Dezzel Lafever Thomas. She was a member of Nash Grove Baptist Church. Joan was a retired resident services coordinator with Cookeville Housing Authority. Survivors include husband Lloyd Dilldine of Cookeville, sons Terry Dilldine of Cookeville, Brandon (Rachel) Dilldine of Mt. Juliet. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 8 PM and after 11 AM Monday until service time.
