Mrs. Diana Lynn Beechboard age 69 of Hilham, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Diana Lynn Beechboard was born in Anderson, Madison Co., Indiana on March 12, 1951 to Betty (Westrater) King and the late Walt King. Betty was a member of the Aaron’s Chapel Church. She loved her family and friends very much; she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors: Husband: William C. Beechboard; 2 Sons: Scott Keesling, Brian Keesling; 1 Stepson: Jessie Beechboard; 2 Stepdaughters: Lisa Kegley, Melana Perdue; Mother: Betty King; 1 Brother: Bill King; also survived by a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, family and friends. A private Graveside service for the family will be held at the Aaron’s Chapel Cemetery in Hilham.

Mr. Paul Allan Terry, age 73 of Livingston, passed peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. He was born September 8, 1946 in Campbell County, Tennessee to the late Paul & Cleda Mayfield Terry. Allan was a 1964 graduate of Livingston Academy, and a member of the Hilham Church of Christ. Allan and his family owned and operated the Lay Simpson Furniture Store in Livingston for many years. He loved people and making friends wherever he went. Allan loved singing and spending time with his friends and family. He loved and missed his son with all his heart. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Graveside Funeral Services For Yvonne Sims, Age 63, Of Sparta, Will Be Conducted At Shipley Cemetery In Cookeville, Tennessee. Pastor Chris Sparkman Will Officiate. Ms. Sims Was Born On October 10, 1956, In Monterey, To The Late Hershel And Tressa Elise Phillips Whittaker. Ms. Sims Passed Away On Wednesday, April 22, 2020, At Her Home. Ms. Sims Was A Homemaker. She Was A Member Of Oak Hill Church In Rickman. She Is Survived By, 1 Daughter, Kristie Schrichte Of Cookeville; 3 Sons And Daughters-In-Law, Billie And Brittney Sims Of Cookeville, Larry And Jessica Sims Of Livingston, Barry And Ashley Sims Of Sparta; 13 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Vivan Agee Of Carthage, Tammy Givens Of Carthage; Special Friend That She Considered As A Sister, Dean Moody Of Hilham; In Addition To Her Parents, She Was Preceded In Death By Her Husband, Larry Sims, Sr.; Infant Son, John Frank Sims; Sister, Sharon Troutt; Brother, Terry “Butch” Whittaker.

Gregory Royce Harris, 56, of Cookeville, passed away on April 21, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Putnam County. Greg Harris was born on December 3, 1963, in Jackson County to Royce and Geneva Harris. Greg graduated from Jackson County High school and married his high school sweetheart, Regina (Loftis) Harris. She was the love of his life and they have been happily married for 36 years, and raised three children. Greg worked in his family’s oil business for many years, before opening his own venture, Harris Oil Inc. Greg spent over 30 years in the oil industry and had a passion for business as well as helping other small businesses succeed. He always loved serving and helping people and after he retired in 2009, he made it his mission to do so. He was a long-time member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He served faithfully in his church in multiple ministries from teaching children in Sunday School to choir to being a second dad to many in the youth group. Greg lit up a room every time he walked in with his contagious smile and love for people. From mission trips to China to volunteer with the Awana program to building churches and sharing Jesus in Romania, Greg went all over the world to love people in the name of Jesus. His latest adventure and greatest pleasure was serving on the Rapid Response Team for the Billy Graham Ministry. There is nothing more that Greg loved than being with his family. He cherished time together with them, especially his grandchildren. He loved being a grandpa. Greg enjoyed traveling with his wife and loved going to University of Tennessee football games. He was the biggest sports fan, especially the Vols. Greg was a beekeeper and enjoyed being outdoors on his farm. He is survived by his wife, Regina Harris and was the proud father and grandfather to his three children and their spouses, Daniel (Amber) Harris, Hannah (Justin) Davis, Stephen (Amanda) Harris; 3 grandchildren, Emma Grace Davis, Benjamin Davis, Ava Davis and one more arriving later this year; his parents, Royce and Geneva Harris; sibling and her spouse, Janet (Kevin) Smith; mother-in-law, Anna (Bill) Harrison; and 3 brothers-in-law and their spouses, along with several nieces and nephews. Due to the current pandemic, there will be no public visitation or funeral. A Celebration of Greg’s life will be scheduled for his friends and extended family at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association or the Heart Fund at the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation by mailing them to Hunter Funeral Home % Greg Harris Memorial Donation, P.O. Mrs. Lela Mae Terrell Summers, age 92 of Sparta, passed away Monday evening April 20, 2020 at Life Care Center of Sparta. Mrs. Summers was born July 6, 1927 in Smithville, Tennessee to the late John Haskell & Arlena Ashburn Terrell. She was a retired secretary for the Tennessee Department of Human Services. She enjoyed traveling the country alongside her late husband in their R.V. and being on Center Hill Lake but her true joy was her family. Lela was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Sparta. Surviving family members include her daughter Kay Farley and husband David; Daughter-in-law: Nancy Summers; Grandchildren: Kristen Farley, Michael Farley and wife Allison, Andy Verble and Steven Summers; Great-grandchildren: Zoey Verble, Drew Verble, Eli Verble, Henry Farley; Two sisters: Betty Moss and Nell Medley; Several nieces and nephews also survive. In honor of Mrs. Summers wishes a private graveside service will be conducted at Oak Lawn Cemetery. Randall Kirby will officiate.

Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Eric Edwin Carwile, age 76, of Rickman will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, April 26, 2020 from the Overton County Memorial Gardens. Bro. Aron Dillon will officiate. The family will welcome friends at the graveside. Mr. Eric Edwin Carwile passed from this life on Monday evening, April 20, 2020 from the Skyline Medical Center. He was born in Overton County, on June 27, 1943 to the late Oscar & Magnolia Farmer Carwile. Eric was a 1962 graduate of Livingston Academy, and a Finance Director for Carlen Chevrolet. Eric enjoyed playing golf, guitar, being at the lake, and eating seafood. His greatest joy was he family who he loved immensely. Eric leaves behind his loving wife of 28 years, Mrs. Linda Neely Carwile of Rickman; son, Mark Carwile & wife Robyn of Livingston; daughter, Teresa Peterson & husband Steve of Cookeville; grandchildren, Lindsey & Bryson Carwile; brothers, Eldon Carwile & wife Faye of Franklin, and Earl Carwile & wife Barbara of Livingston; sister, Elna Wilson & husband Jack of Granger, IN; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, Eric was preceded in death by his brother, Ethan Carwile; sisters, Ethna Brown, Edwina Branham, Eldrith Parsons, Evelyn Carwile, and Estelene Morgan.
