A water main line feeding the Baxter Water service area ruptured New Years Day at Highway 56 and Interstate 40.
Baxter Water and Sewer Superintendent John Ramsey said crews have managed to repair the rupture, but some residents are still experiencing some issues.
“As far as what we are seeing right now, most that have called have frozen pipes,” Ramsey said. “As far as the utility itself, it has water back to everyone. They may be experiencing some low pressure, but we have water back to everyone other than the ones who have frozen pipes.”
Ramsey said residents that do have frozen pipes will need to contact a plumber to have the issue addressed.
Monday’s rupture affected residents in Baxter, Buffalo Valley, Chestnut Mound, Wolf Creek and Boma.
