Warren Co. Man Indicted After Dogs Attack Horses

A grand jury has indicted a Warren County man after his dogs allegedly killed a neighbor’s horse and attacked another.

69-year-old Ronald August Payne was indicted on a misdemeanor charge of allowing dogs to roam at large.

Since the alleged victim lost a 4-year-old mare to the pack of dogs, Payne’s alleged crime is considered a class B misdemeanor which normally brings a fine or possible probation.
