The 29th annual Autumn Street Fair is coming to Warren County Saturday with festivities beginning at 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Leadership Warren County Communications Coordinator Chelsi George said that the goal of the fair is to raise money for local non-profits. George said depending on the money raised, they are donating to Warren County Food Bank, Family Resource Center, or HOME homeless outreach. George said the fair is a big deal to those within Warren County, even if they aren’t are participating non-profit.
“It brings about 15 thousand people into Warren County which is huge for our little town,” George said. “It brings all the people in, super excited, the event is going to be obviously held in our beautiful downtown location so if you’ve never been there, super cute storefront.”
George said the event will be hosting over 250 local and out of town vendors, as well as downtown storefronts, arts and crafts. George said last year the festival raised over four thousand dollars for each of their non-profits.
“We’ve worked really hard over the years so its gonna be great to see it all come together,” George said. “Especially in our in our small town it’s gonna be great to see all the work that we’ve put in and just see everything that our little community has done.”
George said that organizers try to hit a total goal of around $30 thousand by the festivals end, averaging around $2 per guest.
“The more people the merrier,” George said. “We’re excited obviously its that fall time of the year and it’s going to be a beautiful day.”
George said the event will also include a kids zone with blow up toys and other different activities at a $5 entry fee. George said the fair will host a corn-hole tournament on the grassy lot next to the fountain at a $50 fee per two person team. George said there will be live music performing at local downtown eateries.
