Visitation will end at Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the end of the day Friday.
“We feel that no visitors is the best policy during these difficult times,” CEO Paul Korth said in a statement. “It’s a difficult decision, but we must do what we can to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. We are doing it in the best interest of our patients and staff but also the community as a whole.”
Hours for visitation end Friday at 7pm.
Exceptions will exist for one visitor at a time from a pool of two identified visitors at the Birthing Center; one caregiver for outpatient surgery, and one parent or guardian for children under 18. All visitors will be screened as has been the case all week.
Nurses will be available between 2pm-4pm daily to update families on patients.
