Upper Cumberland State Park Friends Groups Receive Mini Grants

Friends of Tennessee State Parks has awarded mini grants to three Upper Cumberland park friends groups.

According to a press release, friends groups for Cummins Falls, Edgar Evins, and Cumberland Mountain state parks will receive funding to enhance the visitor experience.

The Friends of Edgar Evins State Park received a $500 mini grant to install new panels along Storbook Trail. Friends of Cumberland Mountain State Park also received $500 to install water bottle filling stations.

Meanwhile, The Friends of Cummins Falls State Park will receive $275 to place new picnic benches at the trail head.

Nearly $8,500 in mini grants and awards were given to various state park friends groups across the state by The Friends of Tennessee State Parks’ Board of Directors last week.
