The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency reported no boating fatalities over the Independence Day holiday.
TWRA officials said statewide more than 10,000 boats were inspected and 20 people were arrested for boating under the influence.
Operation Dry Water was held for three of those days. The program’s goal is reducing the number of alcohol and drug-related accidents and fatalities on the water.
The July 4th holiday is considered the peak of boating season.
