Two people were sent to the hospital after an ATV accident in Cumberland County Friday night.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Pomona Road in Crossville around 7:35 p.m.
Frankie Lee Williams, 28, was driving a four-wheeler with Shadaya Farris, 23, riding with him. The THP report states Williams lost control navigating a curve when he ran off the road into a ditch before coming to a rest on the shoulder into bushes and a small tree.
Williams was pinned between the four-wheeler and ATV during the accident. Both Williams and Farris were injured and taken to Cumberland Medical Center before being transported to UT Medical Center in Knoxville.
The THP report indicates alcohol played a factor in the accident. Charges are currently pending against Williams.
