Two Flown To Vanderbilt After Accident

Two unidentified people were flown to Vanderbilt for treatment following an accident on I-40 Tuesday night.

The THP said an Audi SUV was pulled over in the emergency lane near the 278 mile marker and its driver was out of the car.

A Ford F-150 was traveling in the right lane, crossed into the emergency lane and struck the Audi from the rear.

Both were flown to Vanderbilt. The eastbound lanes were stopped for some time Tuesday while emergency crews cleared the crash.
