Two Dead In Cumberland County Bus Garage Shooting

A shooting at the Cumberland County Schools bus garage left two people dead and the suspected gunman wounded Friday afternoon.

Crossville Police officials said officers responded to the bus garage on Genesis Road at approximately 2:27 p.m. for a call of shots fired.

According to a press release from the Crossville Police Department, officers arrived at the location and found two adult males and a female in the parking lot with apparent gunshot wounds.

Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency Director Rick Williams reports that two people died and the gunman was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.

Identities have not been released at this time.

The press release said statements are being taken from witnesses and evidence collection is underway.

The Cumberland County District Attorney General’s office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have been notified and are currently involved in the investigation.

A formal press briefing is scheduled at 4:30 pm CST at the City of Crossville Police Department
