Two Doyle residents face charges after being arrested for drug possession in Algood Thursday.
According to arrest warrants, 34-year-old Jacob Woody and 30-year-old April Key were charged after police were called for an alleged shoplifting.
Warrants state an Algood Police officer responded and found Key outside the store screaming for Woody.
The officer noticed Key was acting fidgety before Woody arrived. A consensual search of both person’s items revealed a small amount of methamphetamine in Key’s bag and three subutex pills belonging to Woody.
According to warrants, Woody placed the pills inside packing for a light kit he had purchased inside the store.
Key was charged with possession of meth and placed under $750 bond. Woody was charged with simple possession and tampering with evidence with a $5,750 bond.
Both are scheduled to appear in court July 29.
