TTU Reaches Goal Of 60 Percent Graduation Rate

Tennessee Tech’s graduation rate has reached a new high with 60 percent of students receiving degrees over the past six years.

President Phil Oldham said the university targeted the metric some eight years ago.

“That’s 10 percentage points above what it was a decade ago,” Oldham said. “So, it’s a significant improvement, and it speaks to the quality of education and value that students get here.”

The goal is one of many included in the Tech Tomorrow strategic plan. The graduation rate is the first of Tech’s 2025 objectives that has been reached.

“We continue to offer students the best return on their educational investment of any public university in Tennessee,” Oldham said. “This is a combination of factors, including our affordability, our strong retention efforts, our high graduation rate and our track record of career placement.”
