Tennessee Tech students and faculty will be returning to campus following Thanksgiving Break.
That is different from many other universities and that is causing some confusion among students and community members. TTU Chief Communication Officer Karen Lykins said students need to be aware that the Fall semester will keep its planned schedule.
“Students listen to the news and watch the notices from some of the other campuses in the state,” Lykins said. “Just for clarity’s sake we wanted to remind them that we chose at the beginning of the semester to stick with our regular schedule.”
Lykins said the university will remind students to be careful over the Thanksgiving break to ensure they do not bring COVID back to campus. Lykins said TTU saw a spike in cases after Fall break.
Students will return to campus on November 30 and final exams start December 7.
