A tractor trailer carrying 87-head of cattle crashed in Overton County Wednesday morning.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Highway 84 when a 2006 Peterbuilt tractor trailer lost control while traveling northbound.
Authorities say a majority of the cows have died or will be required to be put down.
A 23-year-old driver and 21-year-old passenger suffered minor injures and received treatment at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
