A motorcycle crash claimed the life of a Lafayette man Thursday morning.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol has identified the deceased as 42-year-old Jason W. Sloan.
According to the THP crash report, the accident happened around 1:10 a.m. on Honeysuckle road in Hartsville.
The report said Sloan was traveling eastbound on a 2006 Harley Davidson when the bike crossed the center line, traveled down the northbound shoulder, and struck a dirt embankment.
Sloan was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to the report.
