Tuesday night storms that flared severe as they moved into Overton, Putnam and White Counties caused some minor problems.
Putnam County Emergency Management reported power outages along East 10th Street in Cookeville just after 10pm. Wind took down a tree along the 500 block of West Main Street in Algood.
Overton County Emergency Management reported power out in Rickman along Highway 111.
Heavy rains and winds between 40 and 60mph pelted the region. Those winds pulled down numerous trees in Crossville and Cumberland County. In one instance, a tree fell across the railroad tracks and was struck by a train.
Hail signatures reported on radar as storms moved through McMinnville. Golf-ball sized hail reported in Doyle.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said dewpoints in Northern Mississippi and Alabama were more conducive Tuesday night to extended severe weather and tornadoes.
