Arrest warrants state Cookeville Police were dispatched to a motorist driving recklessly. The officer pulled the vehicle over and identified Leal as the driver.

A search of Leal’s vehicle revealed nearly four grams of meth on the front passenger floorboard. The warrant states Leal admitted the crystalline substance was his and that he was “helping a buddy” by having it.

Putnam County Jail records indicate the arrest took place along North Jefferson Avenue. Leal’s first court date is scheduled for June 10.
