Two tractor trailers crashed Wednesday and caused traffic congestion along Interstate 40 in Putnam County.
The accident happened just after 1 p.m. at the 286 westbound mile marker.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 51-year-old Carlos Guerra of Edinburg, Texas was traveling behind 52-year-old Robert Bradford of Homosassa, Florida. A crash report said Bradford attempted to change lanes when his 2020 freightliner was struck in the rear Guerra’s 2003 peterbilt.
State troopers did not file any charges. The report said that Guerra suffered injuries during the crash.
