Three Year Old Killed In Crossville Pedestrian Accident

A three-year old child died Tuesday morning in Crossville after a tractor trailer struck and killed the child.

The incident happened along Jeffs Road in Crossville around 10:45am Tuesday morning. The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports 47-year old Powell Douglas Simmons Jr driving a 2006 Volvo Tractor Trailer in a business driveway when he struck the child. The child was walking in the driveway.

Troopers did not release the child’s name.

No charges filed in the incident.
