Three Pick Up Papers To Run For Algood Council

Three people have picked up qualifying papers to run for Algood City Council.

Four-year terms for Luke Hill and Carolyn Norris come to an end this year. Hill has already picked up his qualifying papers, along with Pat M. Judd and Tim McPherson.

Hill began serving on the council in December 2017. He replaced Richard Heard, who had to resign after moving out of the city limits.

Candidates for the expiring positions must turn in their qualifying papers to the election commission office by April 2. The election takes place August 6.
