Tennessee Highway Patrol made two arrests Thursday after an attempted traffic stop on I-40 near mile marker 303 led to a driver evading officers.
58-year-old Ricky Holmes was traveling in a silver Kia Optima traveling west and committed a traffic offense. After a trooper tried to stop Holmes, he continued driving onto Spring street until the vehicle’s engine failed.
Holmes was arrested for seven charges, including speeding, evading arrest, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His passenger 23-year-old Francesca Peace was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule 2 controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
