THP Arrests Three Indiana Men On Att. Murder Warrants

Authorities have arrested three Indiana men in Putnam County wanted on attempted murder charges.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol announced Friday 18-year-old Alexander Jester, 22-year-old Dalton Skirvin, and 24-year-old James Berna, all of Clark County, Indiana, were among the arrested May 15.

Officials report the men were pulled over along I-40 eastbound near mile marker 293 for a vehicle registration violation.

The arresting trooper noticed all three men were noticeably nervous as they tried to cover up their identities. A second trooper later arrived on the scene to assist in the investigation.

A background check revealed all three men had active felony warrants for attempted murder. Berna also had warrants for evading arrest and failure to appear on robbery charges., while Skirvin had several other active warrants.

Authorities booked the men into the Putnam County Jail on fugitive from justice charges. Skirvin also faces additional charges for bringing methamphetamine into the jail.
