This week in the Upper Cumberland the White County Budget Committee will meet to discuss options for employee COVID bonuses.
The matter goes back to committee after the commission failed to pass an one-time payment this week. Members will also consider how the payment will impact potential raises for the new fiscal year.
Committee meetings begin at 5:30 Monday at the White County Courthouse.
The Livingston Board of Aldermen will hold a public hearing before its Monday meeting. Residents are welcome to speak on three ordinance changes: an update to surcharge thresholds for the sewer system, a commercial rezoning on West 1st Street and an amendment to the hotel/motel tax guidelines.
Aldermen will consider action on the items at 6:00 p.m. Monday.
The Monterey Board of Aldermen will consider moving forward on its CDBG application. The town plans to apply for funding to purchase a new fire truck. A contract for a tourism content creator will also be discussed.
The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. at city hall. The Jackson County Commission also meets at 7:00 p.m. Monday.
The Algood City Council will consider the final reading to give city employees COVID bonuses Tuesday. Qualified full-time employees will receive $125 per month of employment and part-time workers would receive $75.

The Overton County Election Commission meets Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Members will set the upcoming election ballots by approving local candidates.
Thursday, the Clay County School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. The White County School Board meets at 6:00 p.m.
