This Week Putnam Commission Votes On Park View Bond, Livingston Rescheduled Meeting

This week in the Upper Cumberland the Putnam County Commission will vote on funding to complete the Park View School.

Commissioners gather for a special called meeting Tuesday to consider a $16.5 million bond. The money will be used to construct the upper grade wing of the K-8 school. Business begins at 6:00 p.m.

The Overton County Commission meets Monday at 5:00 p.m.

The Cookeville Planning Commission will consider action on updating the guidelines of local commercial districts. Commissioners will vote on allowing campgrounds and RV parks as permitted use.

A preliminary subdivision plat for 53 lots on East 10th Street also on the agenda for action. The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m.

The Livingston City Council meets for a rescheduled meeting Monday after failing to reach a quorum last week. Business begins at 6:00 p.m.

Tuesday, the Crossville City Council will appoint a candidate to fill its vacant council seat. Mayor RJ Crawford left a two-years on his councilman term when elected as mayor in November.

A bid to fully repair the Palace Theater wall that was damaged by strong winds also under consideration. These items will be discussed at 6:00 p.m.

The Celina Board of Aldermen will hear an update regarding its splash pad efforts. The city awaiting feedback from the Army Corp of Engineers to install the water gear at Donaldson Park. Business starts at 6:00 p.m.

The Overton County Board of Education meets 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Thursday, the Putnam County Emergency Communications District will meet at 11:00 a.m. The Jackson County Board of Education gathers at 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
