This Week Putnam Budget Work Continues, Celina Calls Hospital Meeting

This week in the Upper Cumberland the Putnam County Budget Committee will hear its first departmental presentations Monday.

Members will hear budget requests from the Sheriff’s Office, Fire Department and EMS. Year end revenue numbers will also be presented by Mayor Randy Porter.

The meeting takes place at the county courthouse at 5:30 p.m.

The Livingston Board of Aldermen will receive an update on its downtown revitalization efforts Monday. Members will also hear from Fire Chief Rocky Dial about traffic lights.

Business begins at 6:00 p.m. at city hall.

The Clay County Commission meets Monday at 6:30 p.m.

The Monterey Board of Aldermen will consider its new fiscal year budget for approval Monday. The spending plan includes raises across the board and a new police officer position.

The Board will meet at 7:00 p.m. at city hall.

Tuesday, the Crossville City Council will hold a work session at 5:00 p.m.

The Celina Board of Aldermen has scheduled a special-called meeting Tuesday night. Mayor Luke Collins said an interested party in the Cumberland River Hospital requested further discussion about the vacant facility.

The meeting convenes at 7:00 p.m. at city hall.

Thursday, the Sparta Board of Aldermen has a meeting at 5:00 p.m. at city hall. The Putnam County Board of Education meets at 5:00 p.m. as well.

The Cookeville City Council will also meet Thursday. Business begins at 5:30 in the council chambers. Baxter meets at 6:00 p.m. and Gainesboro at 7:00 p.m.
