This week in the Upper Cumberland the Overton County Commission will consider bidding out a roof replacement project for its jail.
The project comes recommended from the county’s budget committee. Commissioners will vote on absorbing the cost for air evacuation benefits for county employees.
The agenda continues with the salary of an assistant director for the chamber of commerce up for discussion. The meeting starts at 5:00 p.m. Monday.
The White County Commission will consider applying for grant funding to address flooding issues. Commissioners will also vote on a speed limit reduction for Plum Creek Road. Business begins at 6:00 p.m. Monday.
Tuesday, the Van Buren County Commission meets at 6:00 p.m.
The Highlands Residential Services Board will review its next fiscal year budget Thursday. Board members will consider approving operating budgets for several housing development. An update on ongoing projects such as Hickory Valley will be presented as well.
The meeting starts at noon.
The Center Hill Rural Planning Organization meets Thursday at 1:00 p.m. County leaders will receive updates on ongoing TDOT projects and grant initiatives at the UCDD offices.
The Sparta Board of Aldermen meets Thursday at 5:00 p.m. The Cookeville City Council gathers at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
