This Week in the Upper Cumberland: the Monterey Board of Aldermen will meet.
Business begins at 7:00 p.m. Monday at city hall.
The Cookeville City Council meets at 4:00 p.m. Monday for a work session. Council members will make preparations for the Thursday council meeting at 5:30. Both meetings will take place at the Cookeville Municipal building.
The Clay County Commission gathers Monday at 6:30 p.m. Commissioners will consider budget amendments as well as renaming a street.
Tuesday, White County’s Redistricting Committee will meet for the second time. Members will start using the Census Block software to move some residents. It begins at 7:00 p.m. at the county courthouse.
Wednesday, the UCHRA Policy Council discusses the future of the agency. Starting at 9:00 a.m., Chairman Randy Heady will address members on what role the council plays after it was restructured.
The Upper Cumberland leaders will also consider future topics to address such as homelessness and child care.
Thursday night in Baxter, the Board of Mayor and Aldermen will have its regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. A planning session will be held beforehand at 5:00 p.m at Baxter City Hall.
