This week in the Upper Cumberland the Overton County Planning Commission meets Monday at 5:00 p.m.
The Livingston Board of Aldermen will continue discussions over the hiring of a retail consultant Monday. Mayor Curtis Hayes said members will consider taking on the full price tag of $30,000 after Overton County declined to pay half of the contract.
The meeting begins Monday at 6:00 p.m. at city hall.
The Monterey Finance Committee will create a priority list for American Rescue Plan funding. New brush and sewer trucks, a generator at the water department, tech upgrades for the police department and PPE gear for the fire department are purchases being considered.
The committee meets at 6:00 p.m. Monday. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen will then hold a public hearing on a rezoning of property at E. New Avenue. The two meetings lead up to the full Board of Aldermen at 7:00 p.m.
The Clay County Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday. The Jackson County Commission gathers at 7:00 p.m. as well.
Tuesday, the Joint Economic Community Development Board will meet for its intragovernmental meeting. It begins at 4:00 p.m. at the Leslie Town Centre.
The Putnam County Planning Commission will consider a proposed road and preliminary plat for a 11 lot Cumberland Cove subdivision. The meeting begins at 6:00 pm. Tuesday.
Thursday, the Clay County School Board will consider ratifying a two-year contract for newly hired School Director Diana Monroe. If approved, Monroe will start January 1st. The meeting at central office begins at 6:00 p.m.
The White County School Board also meets at 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
