This Week: Cumberland Commission Considers Safety Plan

This week the Cumberland County Commission will come together on Monday to discuss a resolution to establish an occupational safety and health program.

The resolution covers rules, regulations, the implementation of the program, and the need for a safety director. Commissioners will also consider reappointing the position of county attorney. The meeting takes place at 6:00pm.

The Putnam County Commission meets at 6:00pm on Monday to consider a resolution Connected Community Facilities Program grant for up to $2,000,000 from the Department of Environment and Conservation. Commissioners will also discuss a report on the debt obligation for the issuance of a $13,000,000 school bond.

The White County Commission will consider a lease agreement with Jackson Kayak for the county’s solid waste department. The commission meets at 6:00pm on Monday.

Monday at 6:00pm the Fentress County Commission meets.

The Van Buren County Commission will discuss and updated travel policy and the election of a chairperson and vice chair for the next year. The meeting takes place on Tuesday at 6:00pm.

On Thursday at 12:00pm the Commissioners of Highlands Residential Services meet to talk about the status of the Red Bud Village and Magnolia Ridge housing projects.

Sparta’s board of aldermen meets at 5:00pm on Thursday.

Thursday at 5:30pm the Cookeville City Council meets.

Jackson County’s Board of Education will come together at 6:00pm on Thursday.
