This Week Clay Commission And Gainesboro Aldermen Meet

This week in the Upper Cumberland the Cookeville City Council will host a work session Monday.

Council members will review proposed agenda items in preparation for its full meeting Thursday. The Monday work session starts at 4:00 p.m. with the council meeting starting 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Clay County Commission gathers Monday night at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday, the Crossville City Council will work shop a contract extension with Azure Flight Support. The management company assists in airport operations and is a part of the Cumberland County School System’s future pilot program.

Council members will also review prices for fire protective gear and bids for new scoreboards at Centennial Park. Discussion starts at 5:00 p.m.

The Putnam County Regional Planning Commission will consider the final plat for a subdivision on Window Cliff Road. The 22-lot site will leave 48 acres undeveloped that could be used for future projects.

Two other smaller final plats will also be voted on. The planning commission meeting starts at 6:00 p.m.

Thursday, the Putnam County Board of Education meets at 5:00 p.m.

Sparta City Administrator will report price estimates on equipment needed for transferring trash to the Board of Aldermen Thursday. The city is trying to move away from using the White County landfill.

The Board of Aldermen will also hear an update on the city’s sewer moratorium from the mayor starting at 5:00 p.m.

The Gainesboro Board of Aldermen meets Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
