This week in the Upper Cumberland the Byrdstown Board of Aldermen meets on Monday.
The board will hear a report from its engineer on ongoing projects. One of those being a settling basin replacement at the sewer plant. Business starts at 5:00 p.m.
The Algood City Council will workshop an ordinance Monday night setting new rates for sewer taps. The council will also discuss renewing a police body camera contract and purchasing some police vehicles.
The work session starts at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, the full council will meet at 6:00 p.m. for the final reading on the sewer tape rate.
The Celina Board of Aldermen meets Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
The Crossville City Council will vote on a new camera system for its police department Tuesday. It includes body cameras for all officer and dash cams for the entire fleet. A street light replacement project on Highway 127 will also be considered.
Thursday, the candidates for Spencer Mayor will debate issues of the community. The open discussion starts at 5:30 p.m. at city hall.
