Admissions for Tennessee Tech’s Fall 22 semester are now open.
Director of Admissions Steve Keller said that when it comes to applying, the most important component is for students to show their desire for higher education.
“What we want at Tennessee Tech is students who are willing to work hard and want to earn a good education,” Keller said. “And that’s what we provide. So with that piece in place, the rest of the application is simple.”
Keller said that because college applications can be a stressful time for prospective students, he wants applicants to know that the Office of Admissions is there to support them and serve as a resource for them.
“Tennessee Tech spends hundreds of hours every year in the high schools, at college fairs, doing community outreach, trying to help as many people as possible come to Tennessee Tech,” Keller said. “Just by supporting them through the application process and coming to such a wonderful university.”
Keller said the application process is simple and easy to complete. He said that it takes most students around ten minutes. Keller said that in addition to it being an easy process, Tech is also a test-optional schooler. He said that the university believes students are more than just numbers and test scores.
Keller said that if students have any reservations about making such a huge decision, to give the campus a visit and see for themselves what a huge asset the experience will be for their futures.
Keller said that they are expecting steady enrollment numbers for the upcoming semester.
