Tickets for the Tennessee Tech College of Business Women’s Leadership Conference go on sale this week.
Dean’s Office Director Cheryl Montgomery said that the conference started four years ago to provide a forum for students and alumni and discuss areas of concern for women in the workforce.
“The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Fostering a Lifetime of Purpose,'” Montgomery said. “We’re going to be talking about you know those issues that are out there in the workforce. How are we working? What are the trends in today’s workforce? What are the trends we are seeing in the architectural designs of office spaces?”
Montgomery said that the conference will have a panel of speakers to discuss various aspects of the field. She said that the event also gives an opportunity for attendees to build connections and network.
“It’s also a great opportunity for our local entrepreneurs to gain skills in things,” Montogomery said. “And see professionals and talk with professionals that they may want to learn more about.”
Montgomery said that the speakers come from a wide array of professions, from local business owners to HR professionals. She said that the keynote speaker will be Amy Vetter of Business, Balance, and Bliss, who will speak on how you can transform your career, and if needed, how to make a pivot in your professional life.
“To pursue something different, and to be more present and more productive,” Montgomery said. “And how to deal with personal connections that will lead to professional and personal success.”
Montogomery said that tickets start at $110 and will cover all panel discussions and two meals. The conference will be held on March 30th at the Rhoden University Center.
