Tennessee Tech’s financial report card from the state: passing.
The State Comptrollers Office reported no findings in its annual audit of Tech financials, released Monday. It covers the year ending June, 2023.
“During our audit we did not identify any deficiencies in internal control that we consider to be material weaknesses,” the Audit concluded.
The audit showed state appropriations increased $17.1 million, or about 24 percent, during the last school year. That included some $5 million in non-recurring money for a new Cybersecurity Center, and the Rural Reimagined program. Higher interest rates produced some $7.3 million more in investment income.
