TDOT Stops Lane Closures For Holiday

Road construction won’t delay Tennessee travelers this weekend.

TDOT spokesman Jennifer Flynn said the state will stop lane closures for road construction at noon Friday. Work will begin again at 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 5.

Even though the lane closures will be stopped, workers may still be on site and lowered speed limits may still be in effect.

Lane closures for long-term projects may still happen, she said.
